I'm glad you realize how close Iwaizumi and Oikawa are, I feel like a surprising amount of people who react to this show get mad at Oikawa for being too mean to him, when their dynamic literally just shows that they've been together for a long time and they're comfortable around each other, enough to know that the other is just joking when they're "mean" to each other. Bickering is their love language, lol. Oikawa is such an interesting, realistic and well written character and I love how we get to know him more during this match. He knows everyone on his team so well, knows their weaknesses and strengths and sets them in a way that brings out their best. I love the line he says to the team before the matches because off the court he's such a goofy guy, but he's 100% serious when it comes to his team and volleyball. They know they can trust him, and he can also trust them. Everyone's at their best and this whole dynamic makes Seijoh such a cool team. They're definitely in my top 3 favourite Haikyuu teams for sure. Also, can we talk about Kageyama's setter dump? That's still one of my favourite moments from the whole show, my favourite thing about volleyball is when someone tricks their opponents and does something unexpected, so the series of plot twist in that whole sequence is so satisfying. Oh, he's setting to Hinata! Or so they think, because Tanaka is hiding right there! No, wait, it's Asahi from the back! ...aaand then he just drops the ball himself. I love it so much, haha. Can't wait to see your reaction to the next episodes and Kageyama & Oikawa's backstory!

im curious as to how he ended calling date, deta lol. most reactors call them date (like date, month, year) with the English pronunciation when it's just the romanisation of the Japanese word pronounced dah-teh. this "deta" is a first for me.
