As our education crisis reaches boiling point, Kagiso Trust’s role as an aid to government has become even more vital. As a self-sustaining NGO powerhouse, Kagiso Trust (KT) will be sharing and collecting pearls of wisdom as it celebrates its 30th anniversary with the broader South African public this year.
With a net worth of R7.2 billion, KT is aiding government to fast track its development agenda particularly in the areas of education and enterprise development.
Kagiso Trust in numbers:
Launched in 1985, KT has initiated 1831 sustainable projects to date
To date R489,976,091 has been invested into the Beyers Naude School Development Programme (BNSDP) to date
Over 500 schools have been involved in the Kagiso Trust Beyers Naude School Development Programme
Over 100,000 learners have benefitted from BNSDP
R16.3 million has been invested into the Eric Molobi Scholarship Programme (EMSP)
Over R60 million invested in businesses since the KERPEF programme began in 2002
Over R10 million has been invested into the Leverage Fund to assist other NGO reposition themselves for sustainability
