I was crying hard by the time I started the fight. I remember I said "There's no way you gonna make me fight this dude while I'm sobbing". This ending was the hardest ending I've ever experienced, this might be a hot take but this hit me harder than RDR2 ending. I don't know why but the entire final scene is just pure art, from the kaiju to the fight and the choice to honor him. I remember I stopped crying after the fight, then Jin said "as a father", it made me sob again and then immediately Shimura calls him son and I just died, those deliveries were powerful af.

I love Ghost of Tsushima so much. It lands its emotional beats so well. I love seeing streamers react to the heavier scenes. They'll have their persona on, their 'audience engagement chatter' and then when Sucker Punch cranks up the drama, you can see they're just captivated, drawn into that moment. A fucking masterclass in gamemaking.

most people that said lord shimura was super easy got like all the hot springs and stuff and could tank like 2 or 3 reds and enter fight with full resolve and ghost stance and max upgrade katana is always harder if something can one shot you and you go in with no resolve lower dmg katana some people are just too bored doing all the open world stuff so you get harder battles
