Awesome video with those spectacular crazy waves. The new generation of surfers is truly amazing. As far as the tragedy goes in Lahaina, I extend my condolences to the great people of that region. Even though this is not the best forum to discuss this, anybody who is aware of the misdeeds of the US government will know that the Lahaina fires were not natural, they were man made.

I have never surfed in my life but I find this sport fascinating and through Kai Lenny's videos I discovered the discipline of big waves tu surfing. Kai Lenny is an inspiring person and I wish him the success he deserves, God bless !

To be an athlete and to push the edge you have to train. I absolutely detest the gym and the pool but I swim miles and I go to the gym 2 to 3 times a week because I’m gonna swim with whale sharks and I’m gonna go snowboard and I’m going surfing tomorrow. My daughter can hold her breath for minutes because she is a warrior of the sea, and just as good with the bow and arrow. We inspire each each other. Kai, you are such an inspiration because we are as strong as we want to be given our circumstance we push and push until we’re 6 foot under and I’m smiling at you

Kai is the 1st surfer 🏄 to tell you that Yes holing your breath drills and being a physical speciman is crucial when surfing giant waves. But MORE IMPORTANTLY its how you control your mind and the ability to master your fear and not panic. I sure dont have it. Triple o.h. was the biggest i s😮urfed living in so cal. What are costs for rescue operations--helos, jet-skis, personnel, training--and who's paying? And what insurance do these guys carry for ambulance, hospitalization? Red Bull covering all of THAT? Must be hella expensive.

Respectfully has anyone caught a big wave with a big board. kai if you want to up your game you have to change the game. ride not a gun made for big waves, but a 20+ foot board no one seen before. I think that would look 10x cooler. Seeing the small board skipping drawing lines, it looks kinda eh, the short board lines are getting repetitive. Id like to see big wave surfers charge with new longer boards, the surf community never seen that yet. hawaiians had a name for these boards, the o'o, but give it a modern design, and some solid fins and boom, surfing history.
