My trip started off from Ogle and we flew to The Orinduik Falls. We spent about an hour there before venturing to Kaieteur. What amazed me was just under 20 minutes, you are transfixed from civilization into complete jungle. I was there in 1999 during the March/April rainy season. Nothing hasn’t really changed since I was there. It’s good to remain natural, however, a chateau, in my opinion, would be something essential. Do they allow you to go on the ledge, or is that forbidden since those tragic incidents? I did that when I was there. There are lots of little black birds under the ledge. Kaieteur Falls is a Guyanese gem and more than 90 percent of the population has never been there. Thanks for showing me a place that I visited 24 years ago.

Into complete jungle indeed. Yes I think a Chateau or better looking lodge would be a nice upgrade. Unfortunately the ledge is closed off to tourist. My first trip I had opportunity to stand on the ledge it's quite a thrilling experience. Black birds seem so haunting and mysterious. With the current price rate I think it makes it more difficult for locals to visit. Thanks for your thoughtful nostalgic comment, I appreciate it. Keep an eye out for my Orinduik video.

@@ParieNikkaPhotography I appreciate and looking forward to that video. Orinduik is located on the western side of Guyana in the savannas. We had local children help us with our coolers and they were rewarded with food and drinks. I don’t know if you were greeted by kids as the plane landed. Going there in the rainy season was quite intriguing. The Ireng river, which borders Guyana with Brazil, was flowing forcibly. The Orinduik Falls was powerful with its cascading water flow. We couldn’t enter it due to the intensity. I hope you get to bathe in it.
