Yes, that. And also Kaiju designs are done by studio Khara, they are the studio behind the Evangelion movies, which is pretty big. They are the ones that translated the kaiju designs from the manga to the anime.

Btw, Kafka is named after Bohemian writer Franz Kafka, who wrote a story called “metamorphosis,” in which a man is turned into a bug monster. If you’ve ever heard the term “kafkaesque,” it refers to his style.

There's a lot of comedy in this series, but it definitely gets more serious as it goes. I love Kaiju no 8. I've been waiting for this anime for a long time, production IG seems to be going all in and that makes me happy.

If you're a fan of Naruto and one piece, then you will probably enjoy bleach (a member of the "big three" along with one piece and Naruto) and Hunter x Hunter. There's a lot more to recommend but starting off with some of the all time greats is a good way to get into anime. Dragon Ball too. Just make sure to skip the filler lol.

I thought ep 1 was a nice representation of the start of the manga, especially in terms of the animation quality. I really hope you keep with it, as an up to date manga reader, it's an incredible story and I'm stoked to see what they do! Thanks for the vid!

Studio Khara is working on this, and they did the Evangelion rebuild. Which is probably why it has the old feel Nick was talking about.

Really great show, and awesome reaction, had me rolling as usual. A good story knows when to be lighthearted and serious in equal measure, demo I think you'll see that Kafka's personality plays a big part in the comedy. He's an easy going guy who likes cheering up others. Still has his own doubts and fears but it's his ties to ppl around him that make him move forward. The series does get more serious but that makes the small moments of comedy better imo.

the zoom on the dude's perplexed face at second 1:35 just got me mg yes ICHIKAWA IS SOOO OP LOVE HIM if he dies I'll blow up things istg yes I still don't understand why there's a freaking white tiger in this manga but we accept it I give it 10/10 (I started reading the manga last year that's why) the anime designers are probably more indicated to draw Kaijus, so the people in my opinion are a bit simple but not even too much the animations are GREAT GOD BEST EVER and it gives you those vibes the manga doesn't (like sound effects, music..) + fun fact. yesterday was Ichikawa's birthday

I love how this opening plays with your epectations, you see Ichikawa about to die and think you're watching one show, you see Kafka about to be eaten and think another show, see him swear to join the KDF and think it's ANOTHER show, then he throat goats a flying bugmonster and you realise you don't know what this show has in store just yet!

kaiju no 8 manga was for me 10/10 and in anime the only thing that disappointed me was characters drawing style and not because it is bad its because in manga it was so good everything else in anime is good no complaints
