That barrel footage at Nazare was once in a lifetime. You may never see something that epic again. Thanks for sharing this Kai!! Every normally complimentary word to describe your legendary status is a severe understatement. Yeah, I mounted a GoPro on the front of my board, and it's a terrible angle. Unless you get barrelled every wave looks tiny. Kai's barrel here at 2:10 onwards looks incredible!!

not all "nazare waves" are 10 meters tall.. In normal days you have just from 2 to 5 meters. In my opinion these might be around 3 to 4 meters.

That was the best board mounted footage I’ve seen! Just captured all the elements of life in the water-rides, wipeouts, clean-up sets, a mad barrel ride with only one foot on the board for a bit.....great surfer

Perserverence pays. How many tube rides do you see at Nazare? That one was a wonder. Taking the risk and beating of a cold water hold down to find the take off that will put him in the barrel. Gargantuan kudos Kai, but i suspect Fame and Glory are secondary to the few seconds of infinity you find in your breathable blue water bliss..
