Kaitlyn Dever on Motherhood in 'Monsterland' and the Possibility of a 'Booksmart' Sequel

"Booksmart" breakout Kaitlyn Dever stars in "Monsterland" as a waitressing teen mother forced to take on Monsters in a whole new light. Dever talks with Variety news anchor Audrey Cleo Yap about her experience playing a mother in the upcoming Hulu original as well as if she would participate in a "Booksmart" sequel, if given the chance.

Kaitlyn Dever is an actress to watch...she’s about as dynamic an actress as you can ask for...so wise, and talented for her years...I look forward to watching her career blossom

Her turn in unbelievable broke my heart, but in turn made me realize how mature she is as an actress..if you haven’t watched it, it’s a tough watch, but it’s an acting tour de force with the 2 lead female detectives too

Short Term 12 & Booksmart are must watch movies. Unbelievable a great miniseries too. Kaitlyn Dever is the future of acting!

Personally I could go without a book smart 2 bc I think the story dose not need one and is nor dissinged for another movie.

Wish the interviewer had explored topical topic, taboo subject that moms Hate and Have huge resentment towards children, daughters and lateral violence is a huge part of patriarchy... today on the red table jada Pinkertt smith admitted lateral hate towards daughter but not son... family scapegoating everywhere

I'm not sure if I misunderstood this but was this basically saying it's okay to abandon your children? What has this world become!!!!!!! Unless like the girl was raped then obviously that is a whole different situation and topic. But abandoning a child for any other reason like "Perusing dreams because kids are annoying" like, that is absolutely disgusting!

Episode 1 was an amazing start, 2nd episode was meh. Realized Monsterland is not a series one should binge.
