How it works: The track motor spool in an Excavator. Put that on search and you have good video of totempole version. There is also table version of totempole it´s similar but has two tables with matching grooves and O-rings to seal it. It´s more vulnerable to bearing slack and cannot work under very high pressure but I think that is not problem on home made machinery. And to solve that bearing slack broblem make lower part to float. I would use truck trailer turn table to make center bearing

nice machine,please how can you rotate hydro motor on the wheels, when pump is up, on the rotating platform?Is it some kind of special connector for hydro hoses?I understand that platform is rotating by hydro motor and chain but I don't see connection between upper and lower side of rotating platform.Is it on some kind of axial bearing.Can you please make some kind of drawing and help me because I am gathering parts for my own excavator.Thank you Oliver
