4:02-4:10 perfectly sums up the average wot experience. Full aim shot on the trackwheel and broadside of a fat heavy? No damage. Random bloomed-to-all-hell shot on the move? Snipes your cupola.

I bought it to flex on people without the special skin. Its a solid vehicle. Good, but quite balanced. Only spent in-game currency I already had.

They advertised it as a tank with situational armor and was prone to fires and yet people still bought it thinking it was a 279e clone. Warning words in the event video "At 1st glance......" regarding the mobility. "If you look closely, it's not that simple...." regarding the armor. Good accuracy and pentration......but terrible bloom. "Good" gun depression.....(-7 is good by whose definition?). "Almost" sniper gun???? ALMOST??? = bound to frustrate the hell out of you. "Equip it with modified configuration"....but even if you do you'll still burn, just not as often. Anyone who regrets buying this or blames WG (or anyone who has played the game for more than 3 years) only has themselves to blame.

i think this tank is really good. its kinda balanced but still fun to play. its also a tank that is more fun for good players because you need to know what you are doing to use the armor correctly. the mobility is ok and gun is very nice

Tbh I thought the armor on this was gonna be pretty insane with the lower plate angles but havent rly had a problem penning the tank so far. great vid :)

the 780 front half of its belly (not lower plate) is slanted up, so there's a chance random shots will hit and overmatch it, that could also explain the missing hit markers

On paper, this tank looks like the most reliable (Russian) tier 10 heavy. In practice, this tank is the least reliable tier 10 heavy. Take the Type 5 for example, at least you know you're gonna get penned.

Kajzoo can you make a vid on the foch tier 9 or 10? There arent really any quality videos on how to play it just replays of good games, its difficult to say where to go or what to do in it sometimes and i feel like my gameplay is very inconsistent with either vehicle because of this

When I aim it with my STB, even the lower plate seems strong enough to give me trouble. Combine that with troll dispersion of STB...

Number 1909 here! It's weird how most of the CCs say this tank is average at best, or straight up bad, but somehow I fell in love with it instantly. Modified configuration is a must have sadly, because it is a BBQ simulator whenever it gets shot in the lower plate, but other than that I love it. Not broken, not too OP, the armor works when used well (can't angle for crap, commander cupola can be hidden with the gun like with an E5 or renegade). The gun tho! For a russian heavy I didn't expect this accuracy. It's like a cheap VZ 55 with an ebay leo1 accuracy. It clicks for me, somehow. Surely I got lucky for having tons of freeXP and a couple thousand bonds to spare to get it, so I don't really mind, but otherwise it is the most expensive pixel tank in this game I've ever seen. Edit: The tank is just FUN! To put it simply. It has way too many problems, including the price, but it is fun indeed.

This tank is amazing. I missed having actual turret weak spots to shoot. Just look at the 705A turret

strv 103 0 armor profile is just dumb, it is tracks mounted on the plate, and should count as spaced armor, but no no, it must count as raw armor so ppl can ricochet the otherwise overmatchable tank

This video sums up exactly how I feel when playing heavy tanks. I can side scrape perfectly with say an IS-4, and still get penned regardless. I've basically given up on playing Heavy Tanks because of it. One of their main things is high armor, and it hardly works for me even when used properly.

Meanwhile my teammates can't even pen it frontally.

I love this tank, definitely my top 3 bc of gun and mobility, doing 3,8k dpg so far, maybe I can boost it to 3,9 or even 4k dpg

Hull roof is 30mm but mostly covert by the big turret (frontally), turret roof is 50. Low risk of overmatch.

THx for a good video about the Obj 780... The armour is not typical russian Heavy. Looks more tobe a main battle tank like the centurion ax or somthing like that. Sinze it was russian many hopped that i was somthing like the T95 Cheaftain.

From what I see, you don't have videos with the 263. I think it's phenomenal - it's fast, the gun hits hard and its armor is insane, if you find a position that covers your lower plate you can bounce gold all day long.

You have to be careful because 4005s and deathstars can pen the upper plate with hesh

I dont think that was the reticle moving. I think it was the tank wiggling because it was partially on the rubble. A bug nonetheless.

Pen marker was green lol , made me laugh. Its a "maybe you won't cry from rng" marker.

I know it burns, I know you can't trust the armor and sometimes you have battles you can't hit shit. But somehow I like to play that thing. Don't know what it is but there was no any Russian HT so far I liked to play more. Self-deception as someone accused me? Maybe, but I simply somehow like it and that's it.

The armor is good when facing directly front, any angle will expose the weak side armor and shoulder. Good gun handling. I think the balance of 780 is done pretty well.

In my first 10 game I've already had 8.9k game so it's good. Gun looks really nice must admit, but that front armor and fire every game almost it's bad, so I put Vents, ramer and that thins what gives extra 70% for fire 🔥 and its much much better now. Interesting tank, we can say balanced 10.8 bond from ranked bluer print don't know from where and 340 free exp from last 3 4 mont.. So not rly expensive for me...

for 530 alpha those rolls are depressing and frustrating at the same time reminds me of my E5 games where my average dmg per shot was 330-370 never seen such bullshit in my life maybe had a roll of 20-30 over 400 once in a 30 games or so that tank made me get bald way earlier than I should have

I think Obj.780 armor is just like original Troll tank armor were. For example Super Pershing. If you fight against people who do not know where to aim you ding all. If you fight people who know it better go and hide. Fighting inexperienced player in SP you better go into the open than hull down. They will have so many wrong choices and will ding on you. Go hull down and instinctively they will shoot weak spot on the cupola. This one is wiggle the armor tank. you can troll people with both top and lower plate if they do not know it. But for the people that know they pen you easy. Gun is really good but as higher the theoretical Alp[ha goes guns suffer more from impossible RNG. It will work and then suddenly game says that was it now you miss 5x impossible to miss things. But later on give you impossible hits to. It is not as fast as fast heavies but it is fast enough to see the end game and still be able to do something. Actually over all it is balanced tier X heavy. Weaker than Chieftain and 279e and even Kranwagn. Sure best player will be able to make it shine but you could make even shit tank shine. What pisses me off is the way they have introduced even more gambling in the game and moment of "prestige" with the numbers. Sure it is nice to have the unique one but hello. First you fucked working people with starting at the time they work or go to work and you fucked 35k people not giving them number while they have paid the same as first 15K. Plus they have limited blue fragments. I could have had it for free on the fragments alone but no they do not give you that. Pure money grab and draining useless resources out of the game. I would not wonder now they hit us with the Black Market while people do not have credits nor gold nor free EXP.

Still 4800 available Asia Server...Only 200 sold last 2 days...knowing WG they will give a better exchange rate of gold to convert XP to try and sell them all...but i wont buy( almost did on first day)..i simply have far better tanks anyway. I have the resources to buy it without spending money, but after that I would be broke in game and from some info I conclude that it's a pretty good support heavy that are not going to be very competitive in current meta (way too many heavily armored fast heavies in current high tier MM). Seems like the correct choice. That said, thank the heaven that the tank is still quite enjoyable to play without making it OP and made everyone else suffer. A decent result especially considering that WG balancing dept is especially drunk recently.

When on rubble, tank will sometimes move on its own. Annoying.

I had so high hopes for this tank... I mean it is balanced ngl but the first day i got it i went crying to bed... Like MM was stupidly broken. 5, 780 each team and every 2nd tank yoloed me.... And yeah i tend to snapshot and well u dont hit shit... And i burned like 6 times in 20 matches and got ammoracked twice... Yeah. On all new T10 i got recently i have at least 2.9k avg dmg. But i barely manged to get 2.4k. and idk why.... Any tips and tricks ?

780 has trollish armour but doesn't work all the time. Really good gun and OK mobility, you need to use Config because it burns a lot. Overall its a balanced tank and not OP. Its enjoyable to play. My setup is HP, Rammer, Config

Imo its a fun tank to play with or against. But still WAYYY too overpriced. The only things i dont like is the constant fuel damage and those games where the gun just doesnt want to hit.

I'm relatively new and not kidding I have the resources in the account to get that tank I guess it will come out later in the store for some price in cash or bonuses or gold

I don't get why people are putting so much money into this. WG has used FreeXP as a currency for a while now, so make sure to convert FreeXP during 1 to 40 discount weekends, and in case of 780, using blueprints was paramount. But with blueprints and conversion during a discount weekend, the equivalent gold price was 12800 gold in free xp. Which is a couple of thousand more gold then a regular tier 8 premium heavy. Takes some planning, but seeing how christmas boxed led to gold reserves, its always a good idea to stash up on freexp since they started having it as a currency for auctions or secret tank sales.

This tank was only worth it if you had all the stuff for it to begin with. Like you have every tank unlocked and still have tonnes of blueprints, or you bought every tank you want and you can't do anything with credits. If you picked this up like that its a nice and fun tank, but if you paid for it big time its a scam.
