@@sevenscounty409 Zim is a great place to invest and live, have you looked at the requirements to do so? The sanctions you mentioned were placed on corrupt individuals not the country. Right now the military is in charge (behind the scenes) thats why the economy is so bad. Zim must be the only country in the world without a proper currency, freedom of speech and free and fair elections. People now are very tired of the current situation.

Even Nigeria (not known for it's cleanliness or order) has a few cities that are trying to clean themselves up. I hope the drive for order and cleanliness spreads. It's called Devolution. Every County has it's own government. The system doesn't need the president to do all the development works. The governors sort themselves out & work as presidents in the counties they got elected in. In Kenya the governors vote is more important than the president because they are the engines of development.

@nairobinyeusi5811
@nairobinyeusi5811 3 жыл бұрын
@@peternassari7634 In Kenya it's all about equity not equality. The Counties with bigger populations & land mass get more funds. Devolution is good but it attracts serious Corruption if the people don't keep the leaders on toes. With Devolution development isn't a favour, its a Must. Every leader must explain what he does with the funds he gets, the most corrupt counties can also be short listed. The Best performing counties are usually the least corrupt. Currently In Kenya the best performing counties are Machakos, Kakamega, Kisumu & Kwale. Nairobi is the Most Corrupt, that's why the governor Sonko was kicked out and arrested.
@nairobinyeusi5811
@nairobinyeusi5811 3 жыл бұрын
@@peternassari7634 Devolution can work perfectly in Tanzania because corruption there is very Low. Those regions can be made counties & run themselves without the national government. With Devolution every single part of the country develops because the government is closer to the people. You don't have to go and see the president because the Governors are your presidents & they are based in your counties not the capital city. Only the president sits in the capital city. If you need roads, electricity or water you just tell the governor & he delivers. If he doesn't you impeach him & elect another one.

Great Town with potential of expansion and growth. Youths needs to be encouraged to leave Nairobi and come to these upcountry towns where life is descent and affordable than slums in Nairobi where life full of struggles. Due to Covid-19 many have been forced relocate upcountry and many are doing great vowing never to go back in Nairobi again. This was the vision for devolution. So Mulembe nation, Abroad and at home, start putting in some work. You have a beautiful vast land waiting for your input. Its time now to shed off that untrue tag of "cooks."

When we worked in Kenya 22 years ago, we went for a weekend to Kakamega, and stayed in a camping lodge. A guide took us for a walk in the forest . It was very dense . He showed us a fig creeper , which does not grow as a tree , bur grows round another tree until the host tree rots inside ,and there is nothing left of the host tree -Just a hollow fig tree. The fogs were quite sweet. The guide explained how this forest had once stretched right across Africa to Guinea and Nigeria but now Kakamega forest is an isolated portion He also warned us that walking around without a guide is dangerous --one can easily get lost . I am really enjoying the items about Kenya.The country may not be completely free of corruption , but their Government is much better than the corrupt ANC Government in South Africa.I have seen a Green Mamba twice Once in Nakuru Park and once in Intrepids Lodge in the Samburu National Reserve . It got onto the raised outdoor eating area , where we were eating , slithered across towards us , and thankfully disappeared down a crack in the decking. The waiters all fled and came back once the snake had gone One of the tour guides on the bush walk had been to university in England , but had come back to samburu to work to improve his village 's life. He as made his village into a place for tourists to visit to hear about his culture. He had been able to marry his sweetheart , and had persuaded the village chief not to make her into the 4th wife of an older man. He brought a group of young warriors (youths from 14 to 25) to the Lodge and they did their jumping dance for us I count it a real privilege to have been able to live and work in Kenya for 2 years-- the length of contracts at the school , although some people signed on again and did 4 years.

Great work Afrikan traveller. You are showing the real Kenya. I have seen many films by Wazungus and one would be forgiven to think that Kenya is just a big national park and a beach. I recently posted some photos of friesian cows in Kenya and some White friends of mine to who travel to Kenya every year could not believe that we have grade cows. They are only used to seeing the ones in Kwale or those grazing next to Masai Mara. I love this rural Kenya exposure.

@@MrZim263 😂😂😂Then we'd be having 500 cities in Kenya. In Kenya a City must have over 500,000 urban population, a specific infrastructural standard & a certain degree of economic output to qualify as a City. That's why we only have 3 cities which are very much qualified even as per international standards. 2 more will be added soon & a new one is under construction.
