In every db game I’ve played Piccolo has always been an easy ai until he was on deaths door, then he just becomes Lore accurate.

Vegeta agreed to not kill Dr Gero on the spot when they had three years to do so. Bro let Cell walk just to get a better fight. Part of being strategic is understanding an opponent's strength. Piccolo is absolutely a better strategist, Toei just didn't give a rat's ass about him past Raditz

Krillin has better strats than Vegeta and Goku kinda matched Krillin slightly in terms of battle strategy, I don't know why Vegeta even came up when talking about strats bro is a spammer and most of the time it doesn't work.

Vegeta def smart for battle plans and all as shown in the frieza saga but his ass gets controlled by his own emotions and ego, Meanwhile Piccolo knows a lot of the time that he is the underdog and uses it to his advantage to strike, He also spends a lot of time alone and works on strategy much more rather than pure power, unlike Vegeta that hardly cooperates with Goku

It’s always funny how these games always make it so Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo are just slower versions of their Ultimate/Power Awakened forms that barely do more damage, if at all. I think XV2 _almost_ did that as well, but at least there they could do crazy damage to compensate.
