This is the result of repression and secrecy without accountability its the same in the catholic church and for basically and fundamentally the same reasons.
@FR0STBL0D
@FR0STBL0D 3 жыл бұрын
So true. Key to secrecy seems to be a disposition about ignoring reality in favour of ideals and concepts. Notions that seem to provide orientation and security in a complex world. Yet ... this creates lots and lots harmful taboos. I do know similar stories from the pietist/puritan Protestant world, Jehova's Witnesses, ... The mechanisms of abuse additionally always include power and ignorance. On the wider societal field this also explains why the ratio of gender nonconforming children becoming victims is extraordinarily high. It's so important to break the silence. To expose the mechanisms in different communities ... that finger pointing to specific community becomes rather pointless. Yet, the courage it takes to get the voice of victims heard and the violence that may (and does occur) when abuse is in danger to be exposed ... is very different in different communities. It get more difficult the more hierarchies are accepted as "natural" and yet are informed by random immutable traits (like skin color, sex, gender, age, ...). A huge thank you to Kal Holczler, who is fighting abuse within certain parts of the Jewish community. (And the case of Malka Leifer shows: Training just women is not enough ...)

@@margotward8736 tbh when you don't have a thing in your awareness, it isn't in your awareness. The mind in a pure state, is of a level of consciousness that is innocent like a child. The thinking is pure, and there can be no assumptions of anything unsafe, impure etc. It has been not conditioned in a perverse way, so literally cannot suspect wrong doings of this nature. It doesn't matter if the person is an adult, or child - what is active in the psyche, is what it is, and so if it is of a pure state, it cannot be seeing things as impure, unsafe etc. There is so much trust and love. I have experienced this, coming of a pure state of being, in whole love, trust etc, as an adult, and coming into contact with those who are perverse in their mind is various ways. Even to have their view, pressed upon my awareness that was of a pure state, and treated how I was treated, was deeply disturbing. I didn't know people could be or think however, or that various things would come to pass, just because I was so trusting and in my heart etc So I totally understand how she was believing she was safe, her children were safe, and she be unable to imagine various things. She could not, as it wasn't an active thing in her mind, psyche, etc. That's how brains are. And, when she did learn of the things, she did take action, after discussion etc.

Kal and Ghitti, thankyou so much for your great courage in speaking about the abuse you suffered. The more people come forward, the more the issue is raised, the better the chances of protecting children within the community. You are doing great work but I urge you to involve the police. Kal, it is no wonder you developed addictions, given what you'd been through, and I am so proud of you for overcoming them. I am not Jewish but cruelty of any sort to children of any race, color or faith apalls me. Wishing you all the best in your endeavours.

I forgave my abuser! I specifically went and asked him for forgiveness! Because I hated him- and he broke down and started to cry. And then named all of the things he’d done to me and asked for my forgiveness!

My prayer is for All humans across the world to protest, march, & demand justice for ALL abused children. All Children's Lives Matter. Abusing a child is the worst crime against humanity & it's rampant in homes, churches, schools, government & all kinds of institutions. It has been going on for thousands of years All the people demonstrating for anti-abortion & they won't even address child abuse. We will never have peace till children are free from abuse.

I salute your courage. It's hard enough in any context but here it's particularly harder. I wish you and the other victims courage and God help them because they are on their own right because what happened to them is WRONG. It is so simple to understand and the people of any community should acknowledge that and do something about it.

Kal, you are wise beyond your years. Seeking beauty out of ashes, peace and reconciliation. I’m definitely in favor of reporting abuse to the proper authorities, but that probably won’t happen soon. Perhaps your way can help end the cycle over time - but I fear not nearly soon enough. But you are trying.

Not a cult look up the definition they are abusing the laws of the Torah there is no question and they should be punished on earth but they will definitely be sent to hell. Judaism is a religion that has survived mire than 6000 years and we will continue. Most of this was csused by holocaust survivors and many were abused themselves it is a vicioys cycle and must be beiken but agsin this is nit a cult. Christianity is then a cult. Because this ran rampant in the church and in Australia

I hope this young man manages to help the abused children, no matter what age they are now, the memories will be in the minds of the abused for life, all because religious elders believe it's their right to sexually, physically and abuse a child who is not strong enough to fight back. Proof that there are decent Jewish people like Kal looking out for them and searching for justice and getting those responsible to account for their actions. Keep up the great work you are doing Kal.
