Nice review. I like the way Kala have gradually implimented my recommendations and made headway on the possibilities of this design. Frankie has really done a blinder with those black bursts. I have yet to see a Revelator in person. I love them all. I live in a bit of a remote place and our music shops don't carry such high end instruments. One of these days I'll be walking through your door, credit card at the ready. Cheers!

These are all gorgeous. Kala have done well in adapting a unique luthier design and making it slightly more mass market. I still cannot afford any of them, or play them to a standard they deserve. An English Pear Ukulele is an item which never existed in my consciousness, but suddenly has become a must have! But thanks for the review, I can perhaps dream..

While i would never assume to say I'm anywhere the authority on Ukuleles the Maple your playing is not Quilted Maple it's Curly or Tiger Maple. Quilted looks like Puffy Clouds not Stripped like the one you're playing. Thanks Alex, excellent as always.

These look and sound amazing. The maple top was my favorite although the blood wood was great too. What would I like to see? Some subtle fret markers at the normal spots. I know it’s a small thing that takes away from the overall aesthetic but I rely on those for playing. I know there are side dots but I never look there. I played a guitar for 40 years and never knew it had side dots until recently. 😊

I really like the blood wood too. What about using Snow gum wood or mountain gum wood tree from Australia
