Sir some more facts which you did not cover , Hampi was burnt and the wealth was carried on elephants . Some elephants lost their way and ran into villages . Villagers sang the folk song " Aney Bant ond Aney , ya ura aney ". This sounds like kids song but it actually denotes melancholy and agony . Even the material was not spared , this loot of Hampi city was carried and used to build Hyderabad city . sir , my humble submission is this , If the bahamani kings wanted to extend their rule then why did they ransack hampi city ? Is there any pattern ? Do you see such pattern in the middle east , attack , ransack the whole city , take women and children and kill all males . This is called maal-e-ganimat in arabic . Refer religious scriptures for more info .

It is not true that Muslims did not ransacked and looted hampi It is clearly written by Rafiuddin Shirazi who participated in the War of course they went to loot hampi but by the time reach hampi everything was over First both brothers took on elephant camels etc to penukonda, further tussle between Shaiva Vaishnava all vaishnvit e monuments were smashed to earth which u can witness till today

All these so called intellectuals see so much Positivity and intelligence in these migrated rulers, Hats of to them. Ramaraya was brutally killed by Hussain whom he took care from childhood as his own son. When war was won and Ramaraya has surrendered then why did they plunder Vijayanagar. These are people who destroy people who help them like Nalanda University. All these water conservation methods definitely would have been idea of migrants from Viajayanagar. Sad part is we were and still on losing side and our own people justify and glorify these invaders and name them after their Sons (Taimur) and daughters

Thank u for good informations & Being a historian u didnot argue like a lawyer for his client. We should not look at history from d present day political views.They were all human beings like present day people. Unless one king is not become a stronest dacoit ,he could not survive. We can never think that one religious king was good & his opponents religious people were bad. Mallikaffeur was a brahmin converted .Most of d muslims today in India were mostly converted from lower caste. We Brahmins never thought them to take as our own people. At least today if Brahmins consider all human beings r equal in d eyes of God ,We can accept all muslims & christians back to Hinduism. Only d thing is it should be on love & respect to all human beings.The more we hate them it is natural that they will doubt on our honesty.

History says that Vijayanagara kingdom was destroyed due to the last ruler Aliya Ramaraya's decisions and appeasements of muslims. He had appointed muslim commanders in his army who earlier had worked in Sultan's army finally they betrayed him when combined forces of sultans attacked Vijayanagara. Historians also says that Vijayanagara army was very huge and could have easily defeated sulthans but due to these two commanders betrayal it was lost and more ever there was conflicts going on between sulthans among themselves which Ramaraya took advantage of. He was taking different sides when there ws war going between these sulthans which enraged them and all of sudden musilm unity came into their minds that caused war of Talikota.

Ransacking, rape etc all happened AFTER the battle was lost. Just like how Hindu kings with larger armies failed to defeat small Muslim armies in north india, Vijayanagara too failed. WHY? Why did large Hindu armies fail to win over small Muslim armies?
