I along with my 3 other friends went to Kalatop in July 2016. Out of curiosity we decided to go inside the jungle. So we went ahead on the route kalatop to Khajjiar trek. It was very foggy on that day and there was pin drop silence. We all were joking this location looks like Raaz movie location. Hardly 300 meters in and we heard a sound of a wild animal. We didn't know what it was. We all got scared. The wild animal must have sensed us. Something was coming towards us running very fast. We all started running backward. The fog also got dense and the sound of that animal was getting louder and louder as it was approaching us. Somehow we managed to come back alive. Anybody who's going in Kalatop, please never go on that trek route without a guide. You have no idea what's waiting for you in the jungle.

Believe me I got goosebumps while reading your experience at Kala Top. Thank God you guys came back safely. We had gone with a guide still that forest felt scary.

If you go by foot for trail then you no need to pay but You have to pay entry fees of wild life sanctuary & guide fees ( if you are taking ). I will suggest don’t go without guide.
