This is my interpretation of the finnish ancient rune melody, played with a 8-stringed Kannel (Estonian zither).
The myth tells that Väinämöinen was the creator of the first kantele, build from the jawbone of a giant pike and the tail hairs of animals for the strings. He was the only one who could play this instrument and by it's magic and beauty he made all the forest creatures to fall asleep.

I'm brazilian. I started to like finnish culture mostly because of Ensiferum. Things related to the Kalevala give me a mystic and adventurous feeling. Love it.

Greeting from Finland. That artwork is great! And that ever so beautiful melody of kalevala hymn... I know Kalevala very well and just finished reading Kalevipoeg few months ago too, its cool to see how much of common stories we share with Estonia🤘

This is very good. I get chills listening to this. The kantele (edit: kannel in Estonian) is truly a magical instrument. One of the most amazing musical experiences of my life was when a girl played me the kantele while singing. So relaxing, it was like I was sleeping while I was awake, dreaming while awake.

That riff after the first verse (after 17 seconds), it's horrible. You cannot sing Kalevala to this riff, not at all, not in Finnish - I repeat this is horrible. I would say this is not a Kalevala Hymn, but something else.
