Kali's Forest is originally a composition by Tritha & Ritika Singh, founders of Indian collective for Gender Equality. Space stands for Stop Patriarchy And Choose Equality. In this concert in France, Tritha sings this song to bring about awareness of the problem of domestic violence prevalent in India against women. She is joined in the castle of Forcalquier at the Stay Magic festival by two wonderful guest women French dancers - Emmanelle & Stella Luna.
"Kali's forest" is inspired by a true story of a poor lady who was subject to domestic violence and the Spacegirls wrote the song as a protest and to inspire strength from the Indian goddess of strength and fury, Kali for all the weak women to fight back and understand their basic human rights.
