For years, all we kept hearing about was the depth of the Kings prospect pool. About how the Kings development system has so many great players in the "pipeline" and how the Kings have the #1 prospect group. We're still waiting for them to develop...the ones that are still here anyway.

The Quick situation and outcome came out exactly like you stated. He found out thru social media on the way back in the plane. Todd stated it in the press conference when they arrived back. He said and to whomever in social media that leaked that info, shame on you. You made one of the hardest situations in sports exponentially worse.

If Kaliyev is RFA, then the team has first rights on hom as far as a contract is concerned. So it is a "watch this space" time for him.

So far this off-season Kings retained Blake, didn't bother to look for a quality coach, and hired a dude from Anaheim as assistant coach. Could we expect anything different from this organization?

Wolfman Jack was the "voice of his community" by interacting with the local music and teen scene social impact. Personally, I see him accomplishing this on a simular level for Kings hockey. I want to interact with him but I do not know his email only a twitter handle.

They basically chose having 5 minutes of Clarke over any with Kaliyev, so yeah, he was not in our plans at all.

I actually liked Kaliyev. Maybe given more ice team we would have gotten more out of him, he's young and could develop. but if he wants out, don't blame him. best to ship him off for a pick.

Kaliyev’s story is common. Every year teams have young players that want more ice time which means #2 line or #3 line if at #4. He wants more money but he needs ice time to earn the money. This is hockey as a business for teams and players.

I absolutely loathe our current management. I've been a fan of the Kings since 1992 and without a doubt, the BLuc era is indefensible. Their nepotism is so obvious, my teeth grind when I hear them defend their incompetence at managing a professional sports team.

Well thanks to the Kings overcooking their prospects and continually signing replacement level or lower vets to block them in the lineup, Turcotte and Thomas have waiver eligibility. They're either on the opening night roster or they're on someone else's roster. The Kings would rather have a stable floor and squeak into the playoffs and be promptly eliminated then raising their ceiling by playing prospects like Turcotte, Clarke and Thomas consistently. All three of those kids need to be in the opening night lineup period. If not, Hiller is basically a puppet and this franchiseys lost.

LA has had a lot of patience with prospects for sure but outside of Clarke and Bjornfot all of Blake's top picks have had serious injury issues Villardi's back, Turcotte's concussions, Byfield broke his ankle and an illness that cost him 20 lbs, Kupari tore his ACL in the WJC even Akil has had 3 shoulder surgeries, both Akil and Turc last season were their 1st healthy seasons as a pro they simply weren't available as far as Clarke honestly his offense has elite potential but he is barely AHL level on defense that is why he spent the bulk of the season in the AHL to get better where he lacks he did improve but he'll need a big step to be more than another Tyson Barrie good offense but limited use

Only Blake could manage to regain “most” of the fan base after being loathed for years, only to become vilified again due to his incompetence as a general manager. Once the organization finally has the stones to cut ties to the “legacy “ guys of the 80’s and 90’s, then we’ll see the organization get back on track. As far as the hiring of Newell Brown…more like a code brown. What a 💩 addition by the organization.

Kaliyev was totally mismanaged. Had they even had a 4th line with youth, such as Thomas-Turcotte-Kaliyev all three would have had success. The Kings system is not only not working well but it’s handcuffing good quality players to be players their not. Stupid !!!! I guarantee Kaliyev will have success wherever he goes if he has talent around him.

Not if you payed attention to Kaliyev's decision making with the puck, especially when not in the offensize zone. He was an absolute mess at times. He played the last half of last year and all of this year as a player afraid to make a play. Afraid of contact. Afraid of something. He often played "hot potato" with the puck making insane blind pass attempts out of the defensive zone. All he did was give the puck away to the other team at center ice, meanwhile the Kings were not able to make a line change. That is the reason he sat a lot. Do you remember the 22-23 season down the stretch, they tried him on the PP, but he was not working to get into scoring area, he was instead hanging out at the halfwall. He would get the puck, get pressured and basically give up the puck. Often times just flinging it to poor Durzi at the point who was not able to control the bouncing puck. If he did manage to control it, he also got pressured as it would take him some time to settle the puck. The first few months of the 22-23 season was good for Kaliyev. He went cold, got injured and has not been the same players since.

LMFAO!! Arty wasn’t being “misused.” That’s an inaccurate and an opinion that lacks intellectual stability. Stop.its his fault and his fault only he flopped this year. Good Lord… t doesn’t matter if he has a great shot if he can’t hit the net. And when I say he’s inaccurate…that’s an understatement. He misses the net repeatedly by a few feet…it’s a fatal flaw.
