Did he just say government does not need to build houses because that should be left to foreign investment?? Sorry to say these are politicians who have no idea or worse still don’t care. My good people the property developers will always be here and all over Africa, we have unmatched beauty and haven’t even scratched the surface. It is the Governments responsibility to plan cities for our growing population creating careers and all manner of opportunities. Ruto is on the right path!

I once asked a banker why developers don’t build affordable flats , he’s answer was ‘ the profits will not good enough’. How can a low income worker build 1 or 2 bed apartment in a town or city for 1.5 M or 4M?

@@Brian-mk1wt Unprofitable because of high taxation of building materials. In any case, world will never be fair and you can only scratch where you hand can reach. The question for you how do you tax people to build houses for others? It's against the fundamental principles of taxation.
