Who has the best oxtail soup on Oahu? Is it Kam Bowl or Kapiolani Coffee Shop? At a later date, I'll check out Asahi Grill and Aiea Bowl's oxtail soup.

Aloha Misty, along with all of your others, great review! Full disclosure , never tried Kamehameha Bowl or Kapiolani Coffee, only homemade. Small-Kid time, oxtail was throwaway cut and cheap. Not anymore. If you've never made oxtail soup or oxtail stew, chance 'um. No regrets.

Thanks for sharing! I like both places but Kapiolani Coffee House still my all time favorite! I also love Asahi Grill in town and Aiea Bowl. All of them winnahs! Hey there’s a new taco place Kailua side I tried called Taco Gallo Rosa. Tacos are onolicous! Make sure you review them. Choke Mahalos!

Love your channel, try Kauai oxtail at tip top motel cafe. By far the best oxtail. Better than zippy’s, aiea bowl, etc.

Mmm good, love oxtail soup and eating the sticky cartilage off of the ends. Really good collagen for our joints and bones. You did a super detailed review of both soups. I like the meat falling off the bone. We lived near Kam bowl but Mom never bought soup from there. She made her own and cooked low and slow with tons of ginger. The chickens 🐓 tho! 😂😂😂😂😂

My wife and I go back and forth between our homes in Palisades (undergoing renovation) and Halawa Heights. Both locations have chickens that start crowing like cluckwork a 4:30 AM. "Little do they know they're going to be adobo..." Peanuts yes, cilantro no :*(

i love oxtail yes its so expensive the meat is so expensive. kapiolani coffee shop i think was original it used to be by aloha motors atkinson n kapiolani. kam bowl used to be in the bowling alley used to go eat there after bowling. im glad theyre still in business in the old kennys coffeeshop making me hungry for oxtail

The best oxtail is at tanaka saimin. I've had oxtail every where that I know it's sold, and the oxtail saimin at Tanaka is the best. Aiea bowl serves their's with. Ponzu type dipping sauce. but is just a normal oxtail soup. Asahi grill, mak bowl/kam bowl, aiea bowl, kapiolani, flamingo, etc. All same ish... put Tanaka saimin chili pepper water in your 'extra' ginger bowl with a splash of shoyu and you are good to go!

Never had oxtail soup. It was my mother-inlaw's favorite. Any food with the word tail, feet, or intestine in it, I avoid. Looks so good that I'll have to try it. YOLO, right?
