I give Meghan plenty of wiggle room cause she started the show as the only conservative outnumbered by centre-left/straight up progressives (Joy + Whoopi) 4 to 1 She would have been told by the producers that word for word she would have to outnumber the others so the show didn't seem biased and like a circle jerk (pardon my inept analogy) Hopefully she can get more composure and learn to cool off now Abby has been around a while

And can ALL politicians reach out to black folks and not just the ones in the Zionist or Southern Baptist Churches? It's insulting to the rest of us. Do some work, broaden your narrow scope of blackness and reach out to us in all our frequented places. Probably, don't care enough to find them?😤
@laughingstalk13434 жыл бұрын
@@givemeshelter. they don't. Benign neglect is in effect. Only this time, black people have read documents reiterating their benign neglect policy. That's why Kamala was the first of the better-known candidates to go. There are many white Democrats who believe that we need a white candidate to get the disaffected Trump supporter vote and beat Trump, and it will just be safer that way. As the two black candidates in the race, Kamala and Cory had an opportunity to really mobilize the black vote by constructively addressing specific black issues, in addition to just being black, which is not enough anymore.
@givemeshelter.4 жыл бұрын
@@laughingstalk1343 I agree with everything you outlined here. [Fixed my bad sentences structures bc I can't self edit] Thank you. I just had dinner with a friend who tried to bring up the narrow and simplistic argument about AfAm's bias towards gays. I reminded her that Mayor Pete is a white man first and operates like a white man. The scope of his aversion to bigotry starts and stops with the gay community. I acknowledged the -perhaps true assessment of Christian piousness in the churches especially the older congregation. But asked why do ALL politicians frequent the Zionist and Baptist churches only? I can't entertain a limited yet damaging argument about a segment of the black community. Especially and only if you want to pick a fight with me over a candidate whom is so oblivious to his fellow Americans. Mayor Pete merely believes he is dutiful in his "getting to know them" mission by just visiting churches. He views blackness through a very myopic lens like the rest of the status quo. And that's how you deal with a person who's a mess.😉

Meghan knows the most about the polling and the political atmosphere, and I think that heavily showed here. While I disagree with Meghan on the daily, she was completely right about Kamala. @h00dielogic424 жыл бұрын
I challenge your view on Kamala being a good canidate. I do agree that she is classy but I felt as though her campaign had no anchor in terms of issues she was fighting for which objectively is a concern because that implies whatever change or justice that she claimed will not be measurable. There is also the fact the that after the second or third debate where Tulsi did disclose her personal record of keeping prisoners in jail for cheap labor and putting thousands of black people in jail for weed while saying on a podcast she smoked weed and also saying she wouldn't do anything specifically for black people.(Google search, don't take my word for it) That is why she has lost a lot of support for the black community and I also feel as though she willnot challenge the corruption that has taken root in our democracy which for me personally is an important thing. Also no one who job it is to throw people in jail should be the Democratic nominee. I looked at her policies for healthcare and justice system reform and they all are very similar to Republicans policies. But I do respect your opinion

I was waiting for the moment for Kamala to say sorry to America and the thousands of people she hurt while a prosecutor and have us understand that these laws can’t be enforced by the police if it weren’t for the senators who sit all the way in Washington DC. Here’s the thing about Meghan: ...She’s not wrong. Most of the time, she has pretty accurate facts with sources to back her up. Of course, a lot of the times, her points get brushed aside because she hasn’t learned how to have a normal, adult conversation. It irritates me when she talks over others. It’s annoying to the audience. We can’t hear that many people at the same time. But going to Meghan’s and Abby’s points: I don’t think this is a sexist issue within America. It says a lot when DOZENS of Harris’ team members spoke badly about how the camp was being run. And either Joy and Sunny really have their head in the sand and just like to read positive stuff about Harris OR they didn’t WANT to read really into the allegations against Harris.

I could see Biden choosing her - I know "that's your boy" but... Biden is a mess with his ramblings and he thinks Kamala would get "the black vote." The only thing is that Kamala gets pulled down amongst some Black ppl b/c of the activity in her office while she was a prosecutor. WELP, she wasn't directly involved in all the comings and goings in other cases. She's just one person but I guess she has to take the hit. We'll see what time brings.

I wanna not just hear their stances on issues, but examine how they deal under pressure, if they have a leadership presence, and any real passion. And in the beginning Kamala did impress me initially. It seemed like she came prepared to play, and had something to say, and she grabbed my attention. But as time went on and we saw more of each candidate in the debates, she didn’t resonate. She started to read as a politics as usual candidate. I’m far more interested in what Yang or Tulsi have to say right now than any other candidate.

Joy should have let Meghan speak without trying to cut her off this time. She was behaving well and actually made a good point. I agree with Meghan, Kamala didn't resonate with a lot of black folk like she should/could have. And to paint all black people the same is laughable. There are black folk that are republican and democrats. I agree with Sunny most of the time, but this wasn't it. I don't think Kamala lost because of Sexism/racism, she just wasn't good enough and didn't resonate with the black voters like she hoped to.

I agree with Sunny, Megan and Joy on all points. Now, I can't understand why abby doesn't see a connection racism and sexism everything that's happening now was predicted back in Obama's first election.
