As a hunter I would say in my world the only bear that would be shot would be a bear that endangered my life or has endangered lives of others other than that they should be left alone they are majestic creatures that deserve their territory I'm passing fair warning to every Hunter out there shorts your choice to hunt what you want if you're not careful one day you'll be The Hunted you give No Quarter they will be done issued to you

For everyone asking yes these are almost the same bear as the coastal ones in Alaska. Big males being 10ft and 1500ish lbs. A coastal brown bear is a coastal brown bear being Russian doesn't make it bigger lol if anything being Alaskan does...

Question: is that spring? If so , are Russia's hunting rules different then ours? Even years spring hunt, odd years, fall hunt.

Hey Evie, yes. That is our spring bear hunt. Russia is not like Alaska, so there are no staggered seasons. The fall hunts are not as productive or successful. Please inquire with us for more information www.huntcon.com

I don’t know but a friend of mine shot down one with the 300WBY that I sold to him (using a NP 200gr) however I would prefer my Blaser R8 in 375H&H Mag.

The giant Alaskan Kodiaks are the biggest brown bears in the world. Some can reach 1700 lbs. Russian brown bears can reach 1500 lbs. I wouldn't want to meet either in the wild!!

Both 'Alaskan peninsula brown bear/coastal grizzly bear of katmai' are grizzlies, btw.

There was a brown bear in a mall in anchorage Alaska when I was a kid about 30 years ago. It stood 13 feet tall.

Why the hell would you go to russia to hunt brown bear. Bc and Alberta is full of them and so is Alaska and yukon . Do you even understand how much harder it would be for u to go hunt in Russia vs hunting in Canada or Alaska? Your from north america .... why would u even want to go to russia for that... do you understand getting your trophy out and getting gun etc??? And for what? Why would you even try and go through the hassle? When they're better bear hunting way closer and way better country to hunt....

i can't understand what is it to kill animals without reason? it doesn't seem brave to shoot with a sniper from 300 yards. it least do they hunt with bow and arrow to make it fair.
