As much as this does remind me of a very abusive relationship I was in, I still find comfort in this song. I think thats part of the magic of Kamelot. They can sing/play about the most disturbing subject matter, but still somehow make it ok and sympathetic. I love this band.

Tommy my friend. You are the one and forever only one that is awsome enough to replace legend Roy Khan. Wich automaticly means your a unreplaceble legend aswell. Your voice doesn't even a second make me look back to Roy. A better replacer they couldn't find. You really are the one and only. Very much luck and awsomeness on your career with Kamelot. Woah. This is one of those songs that doesn't immediately get to you, but grows on you after a couple (or several) spins. I love it! It has such a good mood to it. Kamelot deserves all the success they can get with this album. Thank you for making Silverthorn, it's been an inspiration for me.

I grew up on bands like Iron Maiden that could and still do make a song an epic with lyrics musicianship, one day I was just looking at different videos here on KZfaq and I came across to Kamelot and I was sold, these guys are just brilliant , the music is deep full of layers, and most all they are extremely talented artists, now with Maiden and others winding down, I am happy that Kamelot is around , I look forward to seeing them live, here in the UK

I have heard every single song by Kamelot at the least 30 times each, and some 200-300 times. When Roy Khan left, i never listened to the new guy. its been 4 months since i listend to Kamelot now, i heard this song here, and i cried. i never cry, but to this i cried.

Its called symphonic metal, they use soft classical elements e.g. opera like voices or classical instruments. Thats why Kamelot and a few other bands are different from general metal bands.

Yes, definetely. Silverthorn was the first Kamelot album I bought and I was instantly hooked. For one week I listened to nothing else (which says quite a lot considering I listen to about three hours of music every day). And I wonder why I haven't listened to them earlier. I had been knowing Kamelot by name for about one and half years but never listened to them. I still don't know what kept me away from Kamelot for so long. Now Kamelot is one of my favourite bands, along with Seventh Wonder.

I saw them live with Eklipse and Delain. They were truly superb. To anyone who dares hate Tommy due to deep commitment to Khan really should open their ears. Silverthorn is an amazing album

I wouldn't call it their best, but it is really good. After track 4 it slows down, but still keeps a good pace.

Kamelot existed before Khan, they will continue to exist without him. His melodic voice and songwriting talents may have contributed a lot to the band's sound, but all in all, Kamelot has always been a collaborative effort led by Youngblood, the band's founder. Khan left on his own accord, and while we may miss him, the rest of the band is not ready to call it quits. Khan is living happily in Norway with his family, singing regularly, and Kamelot continues to thrive. It was a graceful parting.

Silverthorn does have a different feel from Black Halo, but I think it's also their best album, definitely worth giving a listen.

I just started listening to Kamelot and didn't know the vocalist I had been hearing was no longer with them. Though I admit, this made me very sad but the new vocals are great! Can't seem to find much of the new music though :(

Tommy sound more like himself in this song compared to "Confession" & "Sacrimony", where he sounds more like Khan. I'm a big fan of Tommy, but I wish that Kamelot would really just let him relax with his normal singing voice like in SW rather than keeping a "faux Khan" voice.

Ok, so i was just as heartbroken as everyone else that Khan left, and i told myself that i wouldn't listen to Tommy because I was afraid that I would like him more than Khan. So here a couple years later I listen to the album and i absolutely love it. Is it completely irrational that i feel like I'm betraying the old Kamelot? I feel guilty... Does anyone else feel the same way? It seems so stupid...

Before Silverthor: Damn it, withour Roy this will be the worst album of Kamelot, i don't want to hear him :(. After Silverthorn: :OOOO, this is the best fuckin' album that i've heard of Kamelot!
