How to “save” Gacha? Take action rather than saying “#savethegachacommunity”

"Btw, why is there always a love interest-" YES MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY. finally someone said it. You 👏🏼 don't 👏🏼 need 👏🏼 romance👏🏼 to 👏🏼 make👏🏼 a 👏🏼 story👏🏼 INT👏🏼RES👏🏼TING👏🏼. If you do, then you're plot wasn't very good to begin with, EVEN if it's a romance. Love stories aren't only about the main couple. Sure, it is centered around them, but there are exterior factors that help in creating the buildup and conflict. I'm not saying to never put romance in your stories, I'm just saying to not make them the center view when it isn't even necessary. I believe that romantic relationships can show more about 2 characters as it's a special kind of love, but please use it properly.

Honestly, I’ve been here since almost the start of the community. It’s hilarious when I see someone say “Bring back the old gacha community” Bring back unoriginal trends? Bring back MORE gacha heat? Gacha heat has actually lowered by a lot on youtube since they finally decided to do something about it some time ago. When I first looked it up earlier in the community (around the time of gacha life’s release), it seemed endless. A few months ago when i looked it up again (these were purely out of curiosity btw), it wasn’t as bad. Sure the weird fetish heat videos stayed because youtube some reason doesn’t see anything wrong with those either, but at least the big disgusting stuff has been removed.

So... I have a question; There is a lot of posts saying “death eyes”, “death sword” etc. Are they allowed to say “original”? For me, I started use the word “original concept” because I think it is not really fair-

okay, I kinda wanna talk about "bring back the old community" movement a bit: basically, we know that it is quite hard for history to reverse itself, for example, going back to the days where technology doesn't exist. So It's gonna work exactly the same in this community too. There's always room for improvement in every area and that's why we see the big contrast of before and after. From what we can see, from silent gcmm made from dialogue and screenshots and repetitive plots, we have evolved into voice-acted series, detailed character movement and better plots. With such an improvement and change, there's not way that we would just let go of this achievement. It's like a skill we pick up that can never be let go no matter how hard we try to forget. Also, people mature, change their opinions and move on from the past. We can't always be the same person we use to be. Style and time would always be evolving into something more unique, more pleasing. If we were going to continue creating the old content, we're still gonna be labelled as uncreative, cringey (unfortunately) and outdated. remember how loombands, fidget spinners, angry birds were popular back then? now, it is pop-its, slime, nintendo switches etc.. This shows how things in the past, if brought back to the present, would be seen differently in times. So, the idea of getting back the old community is most likely impossible.

Now this will be a true solution of saving the community 😌👌

How to save gacha even tho its too late to be saved 101 1. Don't give any attention to the bad side, not even once 2. Be original, gacha channels now are carbon copies of moqa 3. Don't start drama 4. No whining about save gacha and take action

A lot of you may be wondering where Kamexri has gone so I decided to copy and paste something from her community post to give context I Kamexri's Post I V hey all! hope you're doing well. dunno if youve noticed, but ive been kind of MIA for like 9 months. think it's long overdue that i gave an explanation. since im still a student, i've obviously had school, so that really gotten in the way of me being able to make videos, but i think the real reason is that i've kind of grown out of gacha. making videos was really fun, and i loved it at the time, but eventually it was more of a chore than something i actively choose to do -- which is when i knew i wanted to move on. i have plans to start another channel separate from gacha which will still be commentary, but i'm not totally sure if i want to continue those plans since my priority is just to enjoy what im doing. so if i enjoy making videos on my potential new channel, then i’ll definitely be continuing that! thanks for following along and enjoying my videos. i really, really appreciate all the support and its been very cool. so, in the meantime, heres my most recent drawing and probably my most favorite to date!

With starting a mini movie, I feel like most people just always have the default of "New, awkward, shy girl in a high-school." rather than thinking about it first. The same for the other characters. You have the love interest who never asks permission for anything and only purpose is to serve the main character, the friends who are just there to serve the main character or to be a tour guide at the beginning, and the bullies who have a crush on the main character and are horrible people. Then, most people either just slap on an extra detail to make it more "original" or just don't even do that. I feel like the first step would be not to default to that automatically, so think about where it could take place, and who the characters would be, and ignoring the setting of a high-school. It could literally be anything, and the characters could be anyone. It doesn't have to fit into the same mold. Taking inspiration from things other than already-existing Gacha videos could make it easier to have ideas. Listening to songs, watching films/TV shows, reading books, etc, can all help you find inspiration. Just make sure that it isn't an exact copy, with just one or two changes, and then it'd be a cool, original idea. Also, another thing while making a mini movie. Representation is important, even if the main character isn't that representation, even if the whole story isn't focused on that representation, its still important. For example, still have queer characters, even if the main character isn't queer, still have disabled characters, even if the story isn't focused on that disability, still have poc characters, even if it isn't isn't a huge part of the story, etc.

It was nice being at the premiere and it was nice hearing your voice again! It's very soothing to me! Here's just some extra things I'd like to add: - Mini Movies - • When it comes to serious topics such as abvs3 or the literal m@fia, try to avoid romance in these situations! Lots of the times romance can sort of 'debunk' all of the negative aspects of the topic and sort of downplays it for what it truly is! • If your struggling to get creativity/originality, it's okay to stop working on the project/take a break! If you wanna make a good mini movie you should take time to clear your head/thoughts, so you can come back refreshed and motivated! • When it comes to the perspective of things, rather than following just the main character, you could follow different characters or the 'main cast' to give it more variety as it's interesting to see other POVs every now and then! - Complimations - • If your going to make complimations these are the 2 things you should at least do: Ask for permission from the owner and Give credits to the owner. That should be the bare minimum! • Stop with the clickbait thumbnails, they are supposed to lure people to click the video but the things put in the thumbnails... are... not that good to say the least... • Try to make different content, because no doubt will content like this just d!3 down eventually. Also it'd be good to do content changes once in a while! - Trends - • Don't make any trends that have inn4pr0pri4te/tr!gg3r topics in them! Just, stray away from trends like those please! • Don't h4te on anybody who makes trends like these either! Instead, educate them and help them understand what's wr0ng! • Make sure to credit the original creator of the trend and if you can't find them then go see if you can ask others or at the very least write about it in your desc and ask your fans to help you! (I tend to have a hard time finding the original creators, I don't know why, I just do for some reason-) - save the gacha community # - I personally say that we shouldn't really do this as, we can't ever get rid of all the b4d sides of the community, because all communities will always have the minority of t0x!c/b4d people who then make the community seem w0rse than it actually is. I'd say instead of doing the # you should rather, report any inn4pr0pri4te videos you see, ignore h4te comments relating to using gacha and just do your own thing! Doing your own thing is already contributing to helping the Gacha Community out as, we surely can not get worse than Gacha H34t and the "H4t3d Child Became A Hybrid Princess". So just focus on making your own videos and just chill! Sorry for the long comment! I guess I had a lot of 'comment' haha- edit: censored some other things

FINALLY someone who agrees with me on the dark subjects bit! I have a lot of dark/triggering subjects in my videos, and I always do my best to portray them in a realistic manner. (Like actually doing research on how the mental illnesses the characters have work) It sickens me to see all of these subjects glorified. Like “girl gets kidnapped by the alpha but they fall in love.” It would be different if the ‘alpha’ had conditioned the girl into believing that they were in love, but really he’s just using her for personal gain. The girl is a victim in this situation, and it is in no way cutesy lovey dovey. I’m only 9 minutes into the video, so sorry if I repeat the things you already said!

As for compilations, my opinion is that they need to change. Removed could be a good option, but hear my idea out. Change compilations to playlists. (Unless it's your own content, of course.) It sounds dumb, but it could really do things. With playlists, the people who create them, get views. Or so I think. Feel free to prove me wrong. And the people responsible for the content in it, also get the views they deserve. It's s stretch, but it could work.

I know this came out a year ago but the gacha mini movie point reminded me of a story idea I am still working on. Instead of a high school it’s a college, top students from the neighbouring high schools are chosen to enter 1 out of 3 schools. The beginning is basically a prologue introducing our main character, their best friend and other characters that become important. It’s supposed to set the stage for who the characters are. I’m gonna end the explanation of the story here. (Also should i mention there is no love interest for the MC, i decided to self project and make her aroace)

For mini-movie improvement, I recommend writing fanfiction for a bit. That's what I did to learn writing. It helps you get into the mind of a character who thinks, talks, and acts differently than you. Also spend time formulating your characters and the world they live in. World building is where a lot of mini-movies fail. Why do these characters have powers? Why would one person be more powerful than another? What are the socioeconomic impacts of magic? Using my story as an example, there was an experiment performed in 1975 to take animal and non animal characteristics and implant them into certain humans DNA. All humans are magic users and can use any power. But, the test subjects sacrificed almost all of their magic to be genetically modified, leaving them with only one select power. Two non-animal hybrids were also created, one being daelos (demons). Daelos are the most powerful since only some of the best magic users chose to be them. However, 2 of the 4 daelos subjects went rouge, resulting in them being labeled as evil. And I thought up all of this just because I was so annoyed by gmms not explaining why wolf and cat people existed. Don't even get me started on alphas lol cause I developed so much with them. My ENTIRE series was built on what I don't like in gmms (and miraculous lol). Just try to divert from tropes and, if you use ones like animal species, soulmates, or alphas, explain why they're in your story. Hope this helps!

As someone who's been in the community for a long time, since about 2017, NO you don't want the old community. Don't bring back the old community because I swear to GOD it wasn't good. It was not as bad as it was now, but it was still bad. We need a better and improved version of our current community, and we need to be less toxic towards each other.

How to save gacha: Stop creating pointless stuff like making hate videos on other people Stop making/watching gacha heat Stop creating the same plot over and over again/ Stop stealing ideas Be respectful to other content creators Think of your own good story and make a mini movie/mini series/movie/etc out of it Ignore the haters of gacha Try to put more effort on your video/ Be creative Don't self promote urself Don't overwork yourself (It's better to be with your friends and families than overworking yourself for a content) And lastly, Have fun (lol, I think I made a "how to improve your channel" but I think this could also help save the community?)

Not to forget "x reacts to y" I actually put myself through the torture of watching some 9/10 times just a still image for most the video. So mostly content theft, or there's the people who try too hard to be funny which comes off as having the characters (of course it's hardly ever an OC usually MHA, Undertale, DSMP, FnF, FNaF, etc) being punching bags and doing things they wouldn't even do if you so much as glanced at the source material. But I imagine it's the same problem and solution of Compilation channels.

I want to make a mini movie titled Re;vaLor (so It's not in youtube yet, but probably take in a form of wattpad story), basically it kind of a stereotype bait, on how it takes place in a "high school" but it is disguised as a "Adolescent" Institute to train young and "old" students to fight evil (like MHA but DIFFERENT). The main character will be a timid and a person who lacks confidence in herself, due to her confidence scrutinized in her past life (spoiler: her past life is a princess, and she is a confident feminine girl at the time of young girls has to be infantilized or be mature), leading up to her past princess self getting poisoned by a paid killer to turn her into a statue forever (inspired by a true story, which is Sulli's incident). Reincarnated to be a normal village girl, she suffers from an unknown disease that at the age of 10, will continue to decrease her lifespan if she does not act and doing things positive. The disease will not decrease her life if she made a positive change or her getting out of her comfort zone (which is her fear). One day, she was street-cast by an unknown person, who was then a recruiter to find the next 20 Miracle Guardians, and she applied to it just for "funzies". In the survival show, she passed because of (plot armor, jkjk), and finds an awfully familiar guy (which is not her love interest, to make the relationship platonic), who always gets chased by many contestants in the show because of him being the "walking awkwardly social magnet". And the guy diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder, turning him into a God-like warrior that can defeat a whole ass army in a matter of minutes. Together, the two will need to pass the show by their powers to prove that they will be the next generation of Heroes (miracle guardians). Yeah- basically that's the weird synopsis-

I watched the full video and i saw that my two huge plan projects could have the potential to save(?) actually the gacha community... but then i look at the bad things that could happen for my two huge projects that make me think two times and overthink over and over... but luckily by watching your video i began to make original things that i don't know if it will save the community or it will do. Also can't wait for the premiere!!! 💐💜

Another great video! Apologies for being a tad bit late to this one. Your content has really inspired me to improve as a creator, and I really appreciate that you use your voice instead of text to speech, that kind of stuff really grates on the ears after a while. One other problem with this community is the “overprotective partner” thing. It’s just flatout glorified abusive relationships and it’s always regarded as “UwU so cute I ship” rather than being called out for how gross it is to prevent your significant other from simply having friends.

I agree with every bit of this. I would also like to adress something, the “rude” character in most gacha mini movies is usually quite feminine, and blonde or brunette. As a blonde, and a feminine girl, this is such a ridiculous stereotype. Because these gacha mini movies are promoting stereotypes such as these to younger children, and without thinking they will begin to do the same. So not only is it bad in the imaginary world, it’s also affecting people in the real world. So please, think out your antagonists character properly before you put it into a mini movie :)
