I don't believe he was confused, he was probably legitimately upset by them. But he's self aware that he's just the type of person to bring this type of stuff on himself.

@@shammyprops3869 nobody lies about him, he`s an actual troll and kind of a bully online. What people are missing though is that your internet persona may differ considerably from your real persona. Kamiya blocked me on twitter for nothing but i know where it`s coming from and I know the "rules of the game" .But I never got offended or took that to heart. Also, I think we need more developers that put limits on their fanbases, vg fanboys are the worst.

Interesting to see that it's not just bitter English-speakers who resent Mr. Kamiya. Glad to see he doesnt let the begative comments keep him down though. I thought this back when he first said it in an interview or something, but Mr. Kamiya's insistence on "old games" instead of "retro" may indicate a difference between connotation in languages. In English, "retro" is the more positive term, meaning that it is old enough to be fashionable again, or merits respect. Meanwhile "old" could imply the game is outdated or not worth playing anymore. I wonder what the connotations are in Japanese? Could the difference say something about how they tend to treat "old people" compared to English-speaking countries? I wouldn’t know, Ive never been there.

The Bayonetta commentary playthrough mentioned in this is super cool if anyone hasn't seen it yet, it's still around on youtube. In general, would always love to hear those stories about game dev - Atari 50 recently really made it sink in that these guys won't be around forever to tell those tales. But I understand if he just wants to chill and not do anything too bothersome, lol.

I love this new side that Kamiya is showing us. It's refreshing given that he has only showed this "angry block master" persona on social media 😂😂. Also, Nintendo, it's time. I know you don't usually buy companies because you think that people who work on them are the talent. So its time to hire this man and found a new studio for him

I agree so much with saying "old games" or "classic games". Retro is such a strange, unfitting term for games released in the past, but it has stuck and people will immediately know what you mean if you use it.

Zeon units always have the best look and feel to them. Gouf Custom, The Z'gok and Experimental Z'gok, and Dom variants are probably my favorites. I like the Gigan too. Just interesting to see a giant wheelie tank with a gun on top of it. I spent a lot of time playing MSGO on the JP servers back in 2012/13 really liked that game a lot. It's what got me to learn some basic Japanese phrases so I could communicate more effectively.

As a good lesson I learned about cooking, there is no "right" way to do anything, only different way. Many people can get uptight about the "right" way to do something, but it doesn't matter as long as it tastes good. You'd get comments of people trying to correct you even if you were a world-renowned chef, because that's just what people do sometimes. In the event of you doing a cooking video, I encourage you to not worry about those types of comments too much. They might have useful information, but that doesn't mean you did anything wrong.

Mr. Kamiya, thank you for Viewtiful Joe. When I was a young pre-teen, I discovered Viewtiful Joe through a GameCube demo kiosk at my local Toys 'R' Us (a toy store in the U.S.). I tried it out, and I had fun with it, but I didn't think I wanted it, so I passed it on, forgetting about it afterward. My dad was watching me play it, and he thought differently. My birthday was coming up soon, and I already told my parents what I wanted, so I knew what to expect, except there was one surprise I didn't see coming. One of my birthday gifs was a copy of Viewtiful Joe for the GameCube. I was delightfully surprised because I liked the demo but wasn't sure it was for me. I play the game, give it a fair shot, and it became one of my favorite GameCube games of all time and one of the greatest beat 'em ups I've ever played. I am beyond grateful to my dad for such a viewtiful surprise, and I have been a fan of the series ever since. Viewtiful Joe had a very strong first game, but each subsequent game got progressively less good. Viewtiful Joe had a lot of potential to be something greater, and it seemed Capcom thought so too with all the multimedia plans they had, having an anime and a toy line and such, but it just didn't catch on, and it kind of saddens me. I liked Viewtiful Joe 2 and Red Hot Rumble, and I wish we got a Viewtiful Joe 3 to pick up from where Viewtiful Joe 2 ended, but there just seems to be no support for the franchise at Capcom. The least they could do is remaster the original games, but they haven't even done that yet. All I can do as a fan is hope Joe still appears in cross-overs every now and then. I truly did believe in this series. It's my second favorite Capcom franchise ever. (My #1 favorite is Mega Man!)

I played every game you made. Thank you for the excellent exprience. This month I quited my job from a big game company in china after I joined 13 years ago. I think the reason I quited just like yours. I watched the planner guide video of beyonetta in bilibili. Whatever 2D or 3D, game has changed, more and more players played games on their mobile phone or anyother mobile device. You know the screen is small, the control is sucks, so many weak point of mobile phone, bla bla bla...So what do you think is the most important game mechanic in this era or future?Thank you,Mr Kamiya. Last time I watched Biohazard2 video I thought you are a really cool guy. But this time I watched your channel I have changed my mind. You are a warm and full of passionate man.
