We often use 3D models to create the patterns for my foam builds! So I thought it was about time to show you how the whole process works! If you never worked with Blender before go check out Benni's video:
• First steps | 3D Model...
We didn't explain much about how Pepakura Designer works because the program is relatively easy. But if you want us to make a more detailed video about this too, just let me know in the comments.

I don't think the STL generator gave you a very accurate looking model to work with, and I think that's why it really ended up looking more like the Griffith helmet than the Nighthawk lol. The technique is still spot on though and the video very well done, so I appreciate it none the less and look forward to the next one!

Love how simple of an example this is, however what are you doing to extend the shrink wrap plane? I just can't figure it out. The closest I can get to is Ctrl-R click for adding vertices but that is a huge mess and just not working in the click/drag style you see to be demonstrating.
