Drums are usually not a very emotional instrument. But with Kanade it's like she is playing a whole symphony on drums.

I absolutely love Kanade's drumming, this solo kept me hooked from start to finish. And the sound through my Sony earphones was stunning, those drums were miked up perfectly. I'd love to see Muses play big venues because that solo deserved thousands of fans on their feet clapping and cheering like crazy 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤😊

Congratulations Kanadé. You're so good. Normally I listen to Legendary bassplayers like Jaco Pastorious my favourite , Victor Wooten, Alain Caron, SMV but you make me love drums today. Chapeau as we say in French.

Best wishes for 2024 Kanade. It will be the year of the growth of KOIAI! Great drums as always. At 4 o clock in the morning 2 hours of Yoyoka, after that a link from The Jazz Avengers with Senri and now you with a fantastic drums solo. This is what I call a great year ending from the Japanese drums elite. Thank you so much.

That was great! Kanade's playing always seems very intelligent and "musical", but she can go into beast mode as well as anybody. The section with cowbell was really fun!

It wasn't a long ago Kanade was this tiny little girl doing amazing stuff on her drum kit, and now she's a full-fledged prog/jazz veteran🥹 and what a beautiful young lady she's become. I wish the Tiara Princess much success and happiness in life😁

It's been fun watching her growth as a drummer. There's definitely a John Bonham influence. Yep.... for a minute there, I couldn't tell the difference. Pieces of this sound like Zeppelin's Moby Dick. Again, great job.

Her facial expressions are very subtle. I like it, it makes it easier for me to concentrate on her drumming. I love her 1000 mile stare when she's in the zone. To me she's Kanade of the Faint Smile.

You can just check her with Muses, they play quite regularly and a lot of times the streamed sets are also available outside of Japan. They also typically release at least a track of the sets on youtube on their labels' channel.

I don't know anything about drumming. Everybody talks about Yoyoka but for me Kanade's playing seems more sophisticated. Can anybody explain me if Yoyoka is really better or is it just because she's younger and has the "kiddy bonus""?

Personally I feel that Yoyoka has a powerful style for her age, obviously not a little girl anymore. Hence she covered Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin brilliantly gaining praise from original band members. In Kadade I see a personal style developed over years of dedication and a perfect fit for bands like Muses. I'm not trying to make a better or worse comparison, I see very different drummers and I absolutely love what Kanade does ❤❤❤

Subjectively, Kanada is more creative, plays more improvised pieces, and has a more refined technique ... Respectively.

I’m a hobbyist drummer and I’d say that Yoyoka is definitely good (I like her rock drumming in particular), but Kanade…she was a world-class jazz fusion drummer already in her early teens. I just can’t understand how musical and mature Kanade’s playing sounded when she was just a little girl. She still sounds great, obviously.
