Kanaka Ikaika Kira Race 2

6 ай бұрынKanaka Ikaika's second race of the year had a course change due to the South winds. They changed the course from Hawaii Kai to Kaimana to Hawaii Kai to Makai Pier. This was my first reverse run on this course and the conditions were just awesome. This was also my first race on my new Kai Wa'a ARES canoe and Man I can feel a huge difference from my last boat!
My race time was 1:28.05 for the 8.8 mile course, I finished 12th out of 25 in the 40-49 division.
Please enjoy this video, I know they are long but I think it's good to post as much as you can on a run like this so others can see what to expect. Ohh my battery died on both cameras so I did not capture the last sprint to the finish...it was a good one!
