Footage of drone attacks on several regions of Russia on July 9 has been released. Dozens of aircraft-type drones can be seen moving in the footage taken by local residents in Volgograd and Astrakhan regions. A drone landed in a grain field in the Volgograd region, burning 40 hectares of grain.

It happened. In Donbas since 2014, one of the reasons Russia invaded Ukraine, and surely one of the reasons your kind try very hard to sweep under the carpet, and try to convince the world that it's Russia who started the war. This war started in 2014, not 2022 like the West wants the world to believe. Not all of us are fools.

One thing I don't understand is how a world super power in a state of war allows a basic, slow and noisy flying device to cross its territories for hundreds or thousands of km without being shot down. In Ukrain you have to run and take cover because you never know what is their target. In russia you can stand close to a military target and you know that it won't hit civilian targets like a child hospital

They are see them anyway and the sound may have a demoralizing effect on the population, especially when it repeats. Also it's not like in the US where every 10th person has a rifle on hand that could down a drone and either having soldiers or tradition flak systems cover such a huge country... forget it.

The noise is so loud. They even don’t need a radar to detect those things. Even a deaf can hear it from afar. All of their air defence are concentrated at Kremlin and hideouts. Such as shame that innocent person are always in the crosshairs of such conflict. Bravo Ukraine

The Ukrainian UJ-22 small engine drone only has 30kg of explosives, long range, good guidance drone that hits targets. NOT terrorize civilians.

This is the difference between russian attacking Ukrainian territory vs Ukrainian attacking russian territory.. U are assured safety to watch while the Ukrainian drones attacking russian infrastructure, but not Ukrainian when Russians are sending missiles to destroy their civilian building including hospital.. And another big difference is Ukrainian reporting many death civilians while russian reporting no casualty...😢😢

Good question on why Russian could not stop slow flying drones. We (the U.S.) didn't stop a Chinese helium spy balloon until after it flew across the whole country. In two decades of service, this is the only publicly confirmed kill for the F-22 fighter jet program.

Small engines dont respond well to restricted exhaust, and thermal conditions in the air will play more of a role in which way the noise goes than an aimed exhaust. Sound travels fastest and with the most efficiency in more dense air, which is typically lower to the ground.

@@Typexviiib My brother had a BMW motorcycle and it was so quiet it could not be heard from 100 away. The chain made more noise than the engine. I am pretty sure those drone engines can be made to be quieter using a little ingenuity.

@@alexlondell9290 your brothers bmw wasn’t built to last 1000 miles and catastrophically disassemble itself. What you can do, and the cost/benefit analysis are two very different things. Airborne targets aren’t generally defeated by sound, the radar return is the much bigger threat to its safety.
