If you get to watch the whole Christmas Acoustic concert every member of the band sings. Kanami has a really beautiful voice, she sings like an angel.

Kanami will never cease to amaze, nor will any other member of this 'once in a lifetime' extraordinary band.

Apparently Kanami not only can sing but has perfect pitch (of course she does); and this may be apocryphal, but she has been known to provide the notes for Miku to tune her guitar.

It's easy to forget, because the music is so very good, that Saiki isn't just an amazing singer. She actually performs while on stage too. And this video really showcases that. Compare it to the regular version, and just look at the emotion she brings out. When it's high energy, she leads the crowd. When it's slow, and emotional, she does this. Could not ask for a better lead singer. Also worth finding, and watching are some short radio show segments that Saiki and Miku did awhile back. Called "Band-Maid Nippon" Specially if you can find the ones they did with Akane.

This is so special, Kanami backing was so good and surprising to be honest. She is truly talented and obviously hard working to do what she does.

In case you don't know- In 2022 they did a 14 song Christmas day acoustic concert which was live streamed with a mix of different members playing the songs- duets to full band, with even Misa and Akane doing backing vocals. There was a huge demand for a video to be released, but until now only a CD has been produced, which I'm assured is still available.

This songs brings me to the brink of tears every time I hear it. How many bands have the best female vocalist in rock (EVER!), backed up by an amazing and adorable rhythm guitarist and with a drummer who can hold her own vocallly and NOW the Queen of the Rock guitar sings like an ANGEL?! Yet to hear MISA sing, but I wouldn’t doubt she would surprise us all. Don’t tell me Band Maid is NOT the best rock band ever. They have the best at every instrument like a dream team. AND they have FOUR angels singing. Who is better? NO ONE!

If you want to hear the rest of the band sing, you should listen to the online acoustic concert they did for Christmas one year. They also did a short acoustic set for the Yokohama concert in December, that DVD/Blu-ray should be available for sale pretty soon, if I remember correctly. That one will be well worth the money, the concert was about 3-1/2 hours long, and there were a lot of pleasant surprises in it.

Strikingly beautiful. You understand the meaning and emotion without knowing a single word. Yes. Kanami’s voice is soft, sweet, and accurate. She has what is known as “relative pitch,” which gives her exactly what she needs to hit those harmonies. I have also seen a video of her using her voice as a tuner for Miku’s guitar.

A beautiful sounding guitar, Saiki who can convey emotions so wonderfully and heartbreakingly beyond words and then there is this very special angel named Kanami who gives this performance that very special touch. One of their still 'wildest' songs in a version that makes you melt away. ✨🤘🏻 I think it says a lot that there were almost 2000 people in front of them and you could still have heard a pin drop. After this, there can really only be one recommendation, the second song of this mini-set 'Anemone'. If you don't know it yet, then listen to all 3 versions. Original, Maiko and finally the acoustic version. ✌🏻Regardless of the version, for me it's still one of their most outstanding songs. And I've never said it before or had it confirmed anywhere, and in the end it doesn't really matter, but I'm almost certain that Kanami even lent her background vocals to the studio track on this one. The accentuation of the words doesn't sound like Miku to me, but suspiciously similar to the angel's voice in this performance here. 🤷🏻‍♂ _____________________ _"America invented rock. For acoustic Band-Maid, there are a few offerings: Anemone was performed acoustically directly after this song. There are 2 versions of Smile done acoustic. Also the 14 song 2022 Christmas Acoustic online concert. If you really dig, you can find a very early TV spot (2014?) Where they did several songs from the Brand New Maid album acoustic. They are also doing another acoustic show later this year.

The song after this in the concert (Anemone - also acoustic) is also a 10 outta 10 .... something else for you to check out. Will not be disappointed - but then, they never disappoint haha. New subby from Aust.

They all sing! Really beautifully too. The acoustic set from 2021 gives them all a chance to sing. They did another duet just after this, just vocals and guitar again, performing ANEMONE. It's even more heart-wrenching than this.

Awe Man, too bad you found a clip that didn't include the Music Box intro of Anemone, as it really set up the mood for rhe song. The recording didn't phase out crowd noise, the crowd fell pin silent of its own accord instinctively sensing something epic was about to take place.

Kanami doesn't like to sing. She jumps in on a couple of chants supported by the backing track, but it's not like she can't play and sing, as you just saw. She took lessons so at least she wouldn't be bad at it. Saiki does a version of 'Choose Me ' and accompanies herself on the piano. If you haven't already you should check it out. Also there's a full Christmas Acoustic Set.
