Sayuri has probably known for like a year plus now, but if not I think dropping that she works for Cover has to have blown Kanatan’s “cover”. Especially since Sayuri likes idols.

Sayuri likes idols? Isn't it the total polar opposite, considering how much Kanata doesn't want her to find out? IMO like any parent, Sayuri wants what's best for Kanata. She disapproves of Kanata being an idol coz... *gestures at idol culture But maybe Sayuri found out, looked into what Hololive and vtubers are, and decided "this is a helluva lot better than her being an actual idol". I hope for that scenario to happen.

@@HudaefCares Perhaps surprisingly, Kanata has mentioned that Sayuri was a huge fan of a particular idol, but also believes the entertainment industry to be dirty business (which is not entirely untrue but not entirely true either).

@@adamatari tbf, idol in the past (like maybe before 2000) was quite dirty, so it's no wonder Sayuri think idol industry is dirty, considering Kanata is in the late 20, so Sayuri idol concept is from 1980+

Bruh, why do you make it sound like she's the most roothless mother ever Lol, she definitely was very strict before, but that was due to the pressure of being s single mother, Kanata herself said that after she moved out and put some distance between them for a while, they're relationship improved a whole lot, and they became closer.

@@e-madart9420 I don't mean to imply she's ruthless.But she's got that single mother fighting spirit and a (reasonable) distrust of how idols are treated. She seems like she'd at least be vocal about it, to make sure no-one is taking advantage of her daughter. I'm speculating of course, just my own impressions from Kanata's stories.

At this point, Sayuri might be a Heymin. Kinda wholesome when you think about it. Sayuri doesn't want Kanatan to work in the entertainment industry as she knows the darkness. Kanatan didn't tell her everything as she doesn't want Sayuri to worry. But maybe she knows, and understands that her daughter is not going thru all the darkness of the entertainment industry. If she doesn't, and if she stumbled upon Kanatan's works, I hope she can understand that we love this PPTenshi and don't want her to fall to the dark side as much as Sayuri does.

@@XemphasThat's Kanata's fanbase. Tho honestly I thought it was spelled "Heimin". Heimin means "plebians". I looked at the wiki, and I can't find an explanation as to why Kanata's Heymin is spelled differently from the actual word Heimin, tho it's read the same way. Maybe there's lore about that that idk about.

i do feel the same. someday Kanatan will be ready to tell her, and maybe Sayuri will understand. i don't wanna make things sounds bad, but i do hope they will reach understanding, before things go south and it will be too late.

Afaik Sayuri already mentioned "Heimin" to her face some time ago. The chances that that was by complete coincidence is there, but still... Kanataso, I think she's aware already.
