Kandace Spring’s latest album, “The Women Who Raised Me,” is her loving tribute to the great female singers who inspired her to begin her journey towards becoming one of the premier jazz/soul vocalists of our time. Featuring her unique interpretations of songs influential to her while growing up in Tennessee, Springs covers such classic icons as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Carmen McRae, through 60’s legends Nina Simone and Dusty Springfield, and up to modern masters such as Sade and Lauryn Hill.
At the center is her unique piano style and soul-drenched vocals, and never has the Nashville native sounded so at home in the studio. “I felt so comfortable singing these songs, they are like old friends, and with such great musicians around me I knew we would make magic.”

It’s an absolute pleasure to watch Kandace grow as an artist. You can tell she’s getting more confident by the day in her singing and playing. Taking more chances. I also think jazz is her natural genre. Forget pop. They wouldn’t appreciate her. We get to slow things down and watch and feel this tremendous talent. Her bandmates are amazing!!!

This will be the band to watch for a long time. One of the Best drummers ever. Bass player unbelievable. Aan the playing and singing of Kandance makes this group top of the charts.

Ms. Taylor Moore is a drummer on my radar now. She's excellent. As Ms. Springs said, "That ain't normal." Really liked this. What a trio! Bravo!

This trio is simply phenomenal!! Their repertoire consists of all my top 100 + tunes of all time with deliciously inspiring arrangements, all performed with the vocal and instrumental prowess of the three incredibly gifted artists. Can't wait to be in the audience at their concert in Santa Cruz next week!!

Seen Kandace live 3 times, first time in Poole England with Gregory Porter and absolutely blown away by her, also at Darryl Hall's club which was unforgettable. So lovely to see her back to her best and love the extremely talented band mates. Just wonderful.
