Both are just gorgeous enough for me! Only have to consider the budget at hand! But hope did not get damaged by the typhoon!!

This area wasn't hit by the main force of the typhoon, but it would of got lots of rain!

Ah this just came up on my suggested. I stayed 21 days at golden sands just before the pandemic kicked off. I enjoyed it. Although, the food was hit and miss.. it depended who was on chef duties that particular day. I didn't get chance to stop at kandaya, he was closer due to hurricane damage whilst I was there.

Yeah I thought both places where great to stay at. I guess with 3 weeks you really got to taste everything there! Cheers

Both resorts are very nice, but I agree with you, my personal preference is Golden Sands. My fiancée lives near the resorts, definitely need to book a stay!

@Rob...I saw a video of you visiting El Mar Resort in Sogod. I think it was more beautiful than these two resorts due to its size and landscaping as well as the beaches. I was surprised you didn't compare the three as they are all huge with extensive beach fronts and all are up north.

That's definitely food for thought! Maybe I can do something on that in the future. In this video I did want to compare just the top 2 in Daanbantayan.

Yeah, El Mar is in Sogod, right? The 2 are in Daan Bantayan, much further from the city, El Mar is “nearer”. Thanks for this comparison. Done with Kandaya & El Mar & planning for Golden Sands. More power to you sir! 🍾🥂 cheers!

Can someone tell me how to book this resort! I can't find any availability for 2022 the entire year! I've tried several different booking sites and found nothing available 😟

It's possible they have not loaded the availability for 2022. I had a check on Agoda for 2022 only the garden villas coming up, but at huge prices. Msg them on Facebook.

Cheers. Yes a lot of resorts are offering promos still. Kandaya was having this 7 year anniversary special. With the news they are planning to open the Philippines soon promos arn't going to be around much longer....

Well other than Golden Sands and it's not quite far north but Maravilla Beach is nice.
