I will second that because some of the detail and paint jobs that they do are amazing they really get down just what this guy's doing on the top hits extremely tiresome and nobody's even going to see it really but he's going to put his heart into it

keep the race out of it. I seen plenty of hands down white men who put this to shame. It's good work. but he is in a car port garage.

As someone that airbrushed for a living for over 40 years, it's good to see other folk are still able to continue to make a living by still squirting paint. This video was posted nearly 6 years ago and I hope you are continuing to make a living from it.... This style of painting is phenomenal, and I have been in awe of it since the first time I saw it in magazines in the 70's, then later on at car shows. Over the years I even managed to talk a few of my clients into having some of this style of work on the vehicles Yes it should be recognized as an art form. Unfortunately the people that decide that sort of thing ( well I could say loads of stuff here ) but I've never been able to work them out . I've never understood how a small bunch of art critics can decide what is and isn't art, what's collectable and what isn't. It's clear that talent and ability have little to do with it. I spent many fantastic hours, days, months, and possibly years, painting with Metalflake, and candy. then later on HOC SEM and DNA. Still prefer Metalflake ........ even though it probably wasn't good for you........Happy days.....

What’s dope about this is that he probably grew up in the hood and learned by watching and trying it out and failing and getting better and better and is now a true master artist

Much love and respect! 1 year into working in a paint shop and im trying to get my skills up to do this type of thing. Like i told out shop owner; becoming a recognized painter for a mexican is like getting drafted to the major leagues.

Ok... Here we go so I used to paint cars about 30 years ago and when I would do like flake pattern tops like this I would always do the top first because a lot of times if the car is already painted on the bottom you have to be careful about the candy paint on the bottom of the vehicle because it can get scratch but it came out good I'm giving him Seven Stars on this.

just beautiful!! I have a question, is the flake sprayed in the base? or the clear coat? (1st layer of clear?)
@KandyNChrome5 жыл бұрын
harleyguyinmilw Yes well first layer is a metallic silver base coat then multiple layers of solid chrome flakes then buried in clear. After that cures for a few days it’s sanded back down flat then the tape and Kandy can begin To view the entire process step by step video tutorials are available Tap below to subscribe thanks Connectpal.Com/kandynchromecustompaintdesigns

then the silver flake over the candy?' I assumed you did the silver base, then the clear to smooth it out, then lay the candy, then more clear...how does the silvery flake over the candy not cover it up? just a newbie trying to learn it the right way

You better start saving because those cars are getting expensive I had one when I was 15 a 64 two-door candy green with switches and a sound system and my brother had to 63 convertibles bet some black guy came by and offered us cash for the cars we have spent a lot of money during the year fixing them and this guy was giving us everything cash and we sold them my biggest regret I should have never sold my car I spent the money really fast I have never been able to save up and get another one now they cost ten times more
