Sri Dalada Maligawa also called the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is the last location of the Sacred Tooth of Lord Buddha being held after being brought to Sri Lanka by Prince "Dantha" and Princess "Hemamala" from the kindom of Kalingu, India.
The entrance to the Relic Shrine is a magnificent sight to behold over seeing the Kandy lake on the right hand side and Udawatta Kele Sanctuary at the rear.
