Kang Yatse II is the lesser-known 6000-meter peak of the Ladakh region with a lot of technical and endurance challenges. Just 300 ft taller than the most popular Stok Kangri, the peak requires snow skills for the summit climb. The 11 days enduring expedition is more than ascending a mountain. It is a journey that goes much easier if you are prepared for it. So, how should one prepare for KY II? What are the things required for the trek? And many more doubts cleared by the trekkers who have experienced the expedition.

Are there dates available in October - November 2022. I'm so obsessed with Kang Yetse II, it will be my first 6000er.

Hi there, October and November is not the ideal time to do Kang Yatse II owing to safety reasons

I've just one question how do you guys communicate with rescue team if trapped?

We use walkie talkie and there are few points where phone networks are available.
