These are non-working kangals. They're chained and overfed. An active working kangals on the other hand are much more lean and muscular and they have more stamina, agility and strength.

@anthonyfesta7010. This is so true, it has become so common place in Turkey that it breaks my heart. Which is why when you go over there you see so many Kangals which are absolute psychopaths, because they've been chained up for years. A natural Kangal is anything but a pscyhopath that lunges at everything. They're extremely calm and intelligent dogs who only get riled up if there is something serious to be riled up about. My Kangal for example is the sweetest dog, she doesn't' randomly lunge and lose her mind like the dogs in these videos. She'll only do that if there is an absolute need for it which is a rarity. Btw she has never been chained up.

@@williamdavis9562 i have been studying central Anatolian breeds for 17 years now. I had a Kangal type who passed away at 15.5 years 2 years ago. I can’t even watch those videos. They are horrible. They use them to fight each other. They are barbaric. There is a farmer near me, here in Central Florida USA that has a pair who had a litter about 20 weeks ago. They are so magnificent they’re all free ranging and doing their thing with his live stock. To ride by and see them all playing and wrestling each other is a site to see. I am 65 and will be retiring next year. One of them from the next litter or so will be mine. I am preparing my property with fencing. I want to be around him all the time, get him socialized with people like my neighbors and their dogs. I have 5 acres and I plan to get some goats also. I want a paradise for him.
