Was a pleasure to meet you Kev, and thanks for sorting my 508 out. You did a cracking job, car continues drive like new now. Shame the weather only cleared off, once you'd finished, have to admire you working throughout all that rain. Best of luck!.

Thanks Baron. Really grateful for the work. Apart from weather it was a great repair and clean car to work on.

@baron5747 Hi Baron, what type of gearbox is on the 508, manual or the one semi automatic or robotic gearbox and how many miles does the car have already? We have a 508 in the family with robotic gearbox and I don't know if the clutch was changed ever having already around 240k km. Thanks.

@@adisebesan4756 Six speed, manual. Car was on 97,700 at time of change.

Well done again Kevin, another great vid. I love what you do and I like the way you work. Always clear demonstrations, absolute credit to you mobile guys doing this work in all weathers and less than ideal conditions. I am sure you have also saved customers considerable money over the last few years over dealer costs !. I can only wish you every success for the future, you work alone, you work hard, boy do you deserve it. I know the vids you put out promote your business but each vid takes time to set up and more importantly to edit and upload in your own time. To be honest if it were me I would be getting home, jumping in the shower then heading straight for that cold beer in the fridge..... Legend as ever, cheers Kev'........

Thanks for that. Those encouraging words meant a lot. Very much appreciated. That’s correct. Filming adds time on repairs. And edit further hours. But it’s the only way to keep my work flow. Rgds. Kez. 🍻🍻🍻

Great video as per usual. I find your speed of work so satisfying to watch and I take a lot of tips from you which is making me a better mechanic every day. I have noticed two tools you’re using which id love to know where you got. The punches you use look heavy duty and have a flange to protect your hand which looks like it really allows you to put the power into the strike I also notice the bar you have looks solid instead of a hollow scaffold bar. Where would I be able to find these?

Greatings from Poland!! Great job Kevin!! As usual ; ) Can I ask You few Q? When did You start your busines? How long tdid it took to change your first clutch in your life? How long does it taking You know? I know it depend on the car. But I am thinking about small cars class B or C :) Did You ever think about making a live session with Your subs? Like an Q&A.

I started alongside my regular job in 2008 and went fully on my own in 2010.. I first stated general repairs. Brakes, services etc.. Then specialised in timing belts and head gasket then eventually settled for clutches only about 2015.. Small cars used to take me about 7hrs. Bigger ones about 12hrs straight Now a small car about 2hrs and the biggest ones about 4hrs .. I haven’t had that many demands for Q&A as of yet.

Hey, appreciate the videos that your making! I do some repairs at location for desktops and laptops, i can't imagine the stress working on location on big stuff like cars.. Can you indicate how many cars you are able to work on, in a 8 hour day?

I’ve realised when working on golf and Audi A3 you don’t always remove full driveshaft from drivers side and sometimes you do any reason why or depends on your mood obviously I know it’s disconnected from gearbox but not from wheel hub
@WMCS9 ай бұрын
That’s correct. It depends on the depth of the flange. The deeper ones doesn’t allow the driveshaft to clear. The flatter ones allow full clearance so I can easily pull the flange out, without having to remove the complete driveshaft

Good stuff Kevin!! Quick question mate. What would cause my girlfriends 2018 semi auto peugot 108 to randomly jump into neutral when driving? Mainly at low speeds? More than likely an electrical issue or sensor im thinking? Any advise at all buddy?
@WMCS9 ай бұрын
It’s a sign the pressure plate is worn. The electric motor is trying to match the gear change with revs. I’ve just emailed you the procedure to re calibrate it.

When you remove the battery the radio will loose its code how do you find the code if the customer does not have the code
@WMCS9 ай бұрын
Most modern cars don’t. But this can always be retrieved from any dealer with the Vin number for about £20. Important to always mention it upfront to customer
