In our marriage customs, we use turmeric applied thread (mangalyan thread) and include thaali(Mangalyam) in that . Chain struck cases won't happen. After marriage , within three months few people may change the thread to gold chain ....chain length can also be extended using yellow thread. Thali should touch the lower chest .so chain or with thread should be lengthier... Here bride hair style created this tough situation . Happy that people around them helped and achieved the result.
