MKX had a Kano ending where he apparently had a “Son,” when that was revealed, I was thinking this would lead to a sort of Resident Evil 6 sort of thing like Sherry and Wesker’s son, only it’d be Cassie and Kano’s son. Although I go with the "Kano killed her partner/brother/fiancee" story (I pick partner, but any of the others could work) but it's possible she hates him so much just because she's so dedicated to the Special Forces that she treats it so personally, as Sonya barely has any other thing in her life, she's just a fantastic soldier.

I am going to bring this up but I like Kano's design in Deadly Alliance. Very stylish and fit with his character. He has a piece of Sonya's hair in his necklace. That is creepy but I think it is way to remind him than Sonya was the one who almost killed him (in MK3) and he will be always there to hunt her until the day she dies. That is just my theory

I would like to see a rival for Cassie. Kano will become older at one point so I think he will search for a succesor. Maybe his own son or maybe a female Black Dragon member. Kira is a good candidate. Cassie and Kira could become rivals and thus the Sonya and Kano rivalry will continue.

You know, I had never noticed until just now watching this video that MKDA Kano wore the lock of Sonya's hair he pulled off in MK3 around his neck. Clearly it must've gotten pretty personal for him too, or maybe he it was just another example of him being a sleazy fuck.

It makes for some very interesting back story for Sonia and helps to add some depth to her character, not to mention it's the only possible explanation given for why Sonia would hate Kano so much. Also, you forgot to mention the Mortal Kombat Web series in which Kano mentions he did in fact cut out the heart of Sonia's previous partner.

Well in the midway timeline she ended up on the island because she was pursuing kano and the black dragon I guess by herself since jax was not suppose to be there. I believe rectcon ville (netherealm) version of sonya lost her brother among that set up kano did when he was posing as a informant maybe even got close to her on a personal level. I think it's just because the Black Dragon's a crime syndicate The Special Forces want to take down and Sonya wants to stop Kano since he's the Black Dragon's leader.

Actually, it became deeply personal between them as the OG games went on. Sonya supposedly Killed Kano in MK3 by throwing him off the roof of The Bank Stage (he was saved by Motaro) and by MKDA/Deception, he had a lock of her hair to remember her by. Even if the OG idea of "He killed her partner" is not original to the games, it has evolved into a deep, personal hatred and rivalry between the two. They don't need a "reason" to fight anymore, they just hate each other.

I just reviewed Sonya's MK1 bio and ending, it states that Sonya's team was Ambushed by Shang's forces. The ending states that she brings down both the Black Dragon and Shang, so It's possible that Kano and his men are working for Shang at that time, and that maybe when Kano killed her partner (whomever he was) as an intimidation tactic or something. IDK.

One weird thing I've always enjoyed about Sonya vs Kano is that they never made it a thing to were you know they're down bad for each other Oftentimes whenever they make a man and a woman rivals/enemies there's often a bit of a sexual tension undertone where you can tell there's an attraction I have never felt that between Sonya and Kano

After Johnny's fight against Kano in mk9 she talks about him killing "a lot of our guys" referring to generic special forces men. Never referring to any of them as her partner.

I actually have to disagree with you on how Sindel killed Jax. While she did stab him with her heel I feel as though it was her kicking him directly afterwards that ultimately killed him by breaking his neck. You even hear what sounds like a cracking noise as she kicks him off.

Daniel and Sonya both join the special forces ware Daniel is then given an undercover assignment to infiltrate the black dragons and leak information back to his sister who conducts raids on various weapon storage faclities, from here you could make him take up a codename, maybe someone famous for leaving/betraying them, maybe he's Kabal, or just befriends Kabal, if he's friends with Jabal than, he either finds out that Daniels a spy and tries to cover it up and tries convincing him to get out beforckano finds out, but he doesn't leading to Kano exposing and killing Daniel, katalizing kabala leaving of the black dragon, if he is Kabal, Kano finds out that Daniel is an SF spy, and either lures him into a warehouse ware he's already planted a bomb, blowing him up, Kano can either leave Daniel for dead, ware he goes on to survive, ware he is (1) healed by shang tsung and is used to lure Sonya to the first tournament, are he then escapes and begins hunting the black dragon employing lethal force,(2) Kano finds Daniel barely alive and disides to toy with Sonya through him,he saves Daniel, and pins the explosion as either a red dragon attack, or a special forces raid gone wrong ware their own informant got caught in the crossfire due to incompaatance on their end, either way, Daniel is given some story about how Kano went back in to try to save him only to find his chard barely alive body, because Kano tried to save him along with some story about how the black dragon look out for their own, he takes him to shang tsung who does heal him, but at kano's request leaves the burns, and respatory dammage, for some reason Daniel believes Kano actually stuck his neck out for him and is actually conflicted about turning on him especially if he goes with the sf story, believing his injuries to have been caused by someone's incompatance, and the fact that they left him for dead, causing him to turn on the SF and become a bonafide black dragon, until MK3 ware he finds out the truth reuniting with his sister, and learning that thare was no raid conducted on that location as he then turns on Kano, he and Sonya team up to kill him or he escapes, for his crimes as Jabal Daniel would be prosicuted because he did turn on the sf, but Sonya would let him escape, with Kano either dead or mising, this would to a power struggle with the black dragons ware Kabal would fill that roll having gained a lust for power along the ride and reforms the black dragon to defend earthrealm by any means necessary

While I commend you for attempting to piece together the Lore, (not an easy task by any means), I'm going to poke a few holes in your theories. If you look at the comics, you'll notice that only Sonya and her father have ranks attached to their names, where as Daniel Blade is just known by his given name and relationship to Sonya. So, whatever or whoever killed Daniel, if it was at Kano's hands it was likely indirect or a hostage situation Or..Kano may've had nothing to do with his death and he could've died in an accident or maybe complications from illness. My theory is the later, because younger Sonya doesn't mention him to Cassie, so it must've been when both she and Danny were very young. As for Kano..if you recall in MK9 Sonya alludes to the fact that Kano pretended to be reformed and acted as an informant for SF, only to betray them all in an ambush and resulted in the death of many of her men. Sonya later admits to Jax that Kano used her [emotionally] to get the team's confidence and allowed them all to be fooled. He basically played them all for fools and since Sonya and Jax likely led the platoon, the guilt and loss falls on them. Also..lets not forget the organization Kano leads and he's betrayed Earthrealm on more than one occasion. Those reasons alone have merit.

In MK 9 Shang Tsung blows up a helicopter with Sonya's comrades in it before he makes her fight Kano. Since we know Kano was working with Outworld; at least in mk3, but possibly during mk1 as well, he could've influenced Shang Tsung to make that decision. Also Sonya says something about Kano tricking and using her to get to her comrades, possibly forcing her and Jax to become stranded in the first place, forcing Sonya's team to search for and rescue Sonta and Jax. Their decision to rescue Sonya and Jax led them right to Shang Tsung's Island so he could kill them. That's the best I could do; game wise, with how Kano killed Sonya's partner. Also this is ONLY an explanation for the NEW time-line, not the ORIGINAL.
