Just stayed at Worlds of Fun last Thursday night. Very nice pads, clean,trash pick up and safe! Stop 1 on my drive home from Perry Iowa picking up my new Rig!

Today I drove by my first QT and had an irresistible urge for a root beer, don’t why “Shelia”! We have started our full time journey last week. We too love snackies 💚🍀

So QT is great but you all need to try Wawa it is in Northeast. Also if you want to actually go to the Dirty Dancing city and see the actual cabin still in use today it is Lake Lure, NC and there are some great RV parks in the area.

Smithville Lake is a County Park....Corp of Engineers ...the county is Clay. There are 2 BIG campgrounds. We mainly camp on the Crows Creek side and they have recently upgraded all the sites to 50a. They only Loop that has water is C Loop. ( maybe equestrian does too ) There is another FULL hook up campground below the dam of the lake called Smiths Fork. It is run by the City of Smithville. ALL of these campgrounds have a lot of sites to fit the BIG 45 foot rigs. State Parks are all around Smithville Lake. Easy search of that is Missouri State Parks. Hope this helps y'all. I live in Kearney, MO about 20 minutes east of Smithville on 92 hwy. Kearney's claim to fame is Home of Jesse James and tours of the house and farm. He is also buried in town. About 2 minutes east of QT on same side of street...LOL. I stumbled on to your channel watching the Brazen Brits doing the word challenge thing with y'all and then your channel for the food eating thing. Enjoy your travels..............Mike

we stayed there in march on our way from donna tx. back to Aurora il. it was a nice place.

Visited last year. Stayed at the Worlds of Fun campground. Nice set up although Covid made things pretty quiet at the facility ... except for the road noise. Visited the WW I Memorial, very cool. BBQ. Plaza. KC is nice.

I am totally with Sheila on staying outside of the circle, lol. Love how she said that, lol. We stay at hillsdale lake and it’s great, but not full hookup. No sewer hookups.

Thank you for the video, as always!! We've been planning a trip to the area for some BBQ, but its so hard when we don't know what various areas are like, not to mention the parks themselves. Now we've got an excellent idea - YAY!

Basswood up north allows quick access to the wineries at Weston and is pretty close/quick to the Legends, the Kansas Speedway and (most important for me 😊) Children’s Mercy Park where Sporting KC play. 😀👍🏻⚽️ (I live in Maryville.)

Thanks for all the info! We are looking forward to coming to Kansas for the huddle! Have reservations at Clinton State Park (way West!) but going to try walk up at HIllsdale. Spoke to a representative and she said we might have some luck Planning on being in the area for several days and seeing the sights in KC on Saturday then Huddle on Sunday!

That was a lot of driving. Another spot that is good is the Leavenworth Riverfront Park. I wouldn't stay there for months, but it'd be good for visiting the Speedway and stuff on the northern end of town.

Good info. We need to put Kansas on our map (haven't made it there yet) this gives us some good options and things to do while we are around.

Wow, y’all did do a lot of driving. I lived in Baldwin City for 6 years and was around KC area quite a bit. Thanks for farting out there and showing the RV Parks and sharing. Good job.

Peculiar is more like SSE KCMO. There is an extended loop, 470 Hwy, goes from SE corner of 435 loop to 70 Hwy at Independence mall that are easy access to Longview lake and Lake Jacomo. Blue Springs lake too, I think. 470 was to be an extended loop round the KC, but only made it 1/4 around...

Oh I love you Shelia 😍 your so funny ! I have friends in Overland Park!

I grew up about 2 miles from the Walnut Grove RV park and so we used to stay there when we came back to town because our family still lives just minutes away. But a couple of years ago we were staying there and my wife was up at the shower house taking a shower and a man, totally naked, starts to come in the shower. My wife yelled that it was the woman's shower and he said sorry I thought it was the men's. I went down the hall to the men's and found his underwear on the bathroom floor but he was nowhere to be found. Creepy! The last time we called to see if they had a spot for a month's stay it was going to be around $2,000 because they said the races were going. So now we stay at Shady Acres or the KOA in Lawrence, KS. The KOA in Lawernce is right off I-70 so it's a straight shot to Kansas City about a 30 minute drive. Thanks for doing this video. Now we have seen some of the other options that we have always wondered what they looked like. By the way, I wasn't trying to trash Walnut Grove, I still think it's a safe place to stay if you're wanting to be close to Kansas City but definitely check the rates before booking.

We stayed at Worlds of Fun and found it very nice and the staff was friendly. Not being from KC or ever being there before it wasn't a bad place to stage and putz around the city. In fact you May have stood in the site we stayed in LOL!!

So very much enjoyed the KC RV park tour! Most of the time one never seems to venture out near where they live, so it’s cool for you to show us.

Stayed at Walnut Grove campsite inside KC due to mix of business and pleasure. Not bad, but a bit close. Also Worlds of Fun has a great inside KC north of the city. So if kids what to go to an amusement park. We've used it a couple of times as home base. Very clean with pull throughs.

I'm commenting. This video makes me miss KC. I used to have family in DeSoto and Olathe. Now the only family I have left there are in Lee Summitt. Have blessed travels.

Good information.

KC has really hurt by not having more RV accessibility. When I first moved there for a job, later my employees and now when I go back to visit grandchildren, there are exactly the same parks as 30 years ago. Clinton Lake outside Lawrence and Lawrence KOA are available. The KOA is situated where you can grab I-70 to Northern KC or K-10 for Southern KC

Ok I never heard of this Quik Trip, it sounded like a AAA (CAA for me) a trip tic road trip map thingy, lol. Thanks for plotting and showing the ‘You are here’ map, makes it easier to understand where these places are in relation to the city. Looking forward to learning more about your fav city! Cheers 🍻

We stayed at an awesome Harvest Host in KC a little church. I think it was the NE side. We also enjoyed some Great BBQ, first time to try burnt ends.

You should warn folks about the crazy exiting you have to do to follow I-35 though town.
