In kantara basically the tow demigods you are seeing one is panjurli and other is guliga panjurli is considered to be a forgiving and loving god with fatherly figure but on the other hand guliga is considered to be a fierce god with too much anger thier make up depicts thier characteristics while panurli is painted with yellow colour and yellow Is considered a colour which gives a feeling of softness and warmth while the bright part due to turmeric makes the look of panurli calm and divine while guliga is painted with black colour with red and white marks to represent his fierce and angry nature

I was born in kerala, as usual job beginning ended up in Bangalore 20 years ago. Early days with limited income surviving in a metro DREAM city was difficult, same time one kannada family gave me shelter not for free, but the rent was equal to free comparatively. They considered me as their child and played the role of parents for years, Uncle was Alzheimer's patient though he used to recognize me and used to call maga.. That was really amazing for everyone. I got care from them as my parents. Those things are rare in rarest. I am sure that will not get anywhere. Kannadigas are give respect for relationship and truly love from the bottom of their heart. Now, I proudly say I am a Kannadiga, friends used to teases me "Veera Kannadiga"" yes I am very much proud.. IF I HAVE A REBIRTH IT SHOULD BE IN SOIL OF KARNATAKA.. LOVE YOU ALL!!❤️❤️❤️

not all kannadigas are like that.. my experience with some of them (surname: gowdas) was horrible.. Just by seeing one movie whole Karnataka, and Kannadigas will not turn into angels overnight.. There are many horrible and shrewd kannadigas too..

I was good with all people including foreigners. So I got same from others too...I had bad experience in my home town and other states including bangalore. Especially with Autodrivers. They cheated a lot. It does not mean that all auto drivers and people of that states are bad. Everywhere in the world horrible and shrewd people. But I have not faced any kind of bitter experience with my surronding in BANGALORE. GIVE RESPECT TAKE RESPECT!!!

I am from small village of Tamil Nadu . I grew up worshipping our kuldevtha and grama devthas . This movie a splendid showcasing our roots, culture and rituals, which modern world forgotten. Ive seen this move in Tamil at Oman. The climax performance by Rishab shetty was sure not an individual performance ; it's derived by the eternal Devine energy . Bollywood still living in illusion .. south cinema with strong bonding wit its roots .. hats off to all Kantara team for , giving a lifetime experience of divine energy .

This movie got released only for night shows in Tamil Nadu, but the audience response made Theatre owners for more screens and all the shows are running packed. And yes, the last 20 minutes mesmerized us. Even our hands came close to worship him when the policemen worship.

I'm an ardent believer in the "daivas" even though I'm a kannadiga from Hospet/ bellary region.l do puja of daiva" koragajja "at home every monday.Strangely daiva koragajja came into my life unexpectedly and ever since he is protecting me,my family,my pets and even the animals on behalf of who I pray.It is true that the daivas exist and protect the land, people and fulfill the wishes of devotees.

There are many good movies bro. Even in kannada there are fine artists but they weren't getting opportunities. Now some people are shining and showing talents. Kannada Film industry before 20 years was same like any other industry and in last 20 years, it produced some national award winning movies also. And now, some artists who are old to the industry, but new faces onscreen are dominating with pure talent and skills 😊✌️

@@nepolian556 maybe , I dont want to deny that. But nobody knew Thaikudam bridge before, now due to Kantara it's world famous, so actually Kantara production team should demand money from them. And other fact is that, in Malayalam song it's shows as a dying art, but in Kantara it's not shown just an art but a part of our Sanatana culture which is still practiced. So when I see Mallu song, I get a negative feeling about the little boy being killed in the end which may be true due to the communist history in Kerala.

I am from a small town in Tamilnadu and grew up visiting my father's and mother's villages often. This is my first kannada movie. This movie is a masterpiece and I want to watch it again and again. We also grew up worshipping grama devathas and I can relate well to the concept. Somehow I felt like a 90s kid again during this movie and that is a priceless feeling.

Im Garhwali from uttarakhand. In our villages also we do bhoot puja where we invoke devi devta at night in our village puja. And devtas dance just like shown in the movie. The culture is same, language and place may be different but its the same sanatan roots. We call it jagar, the song to call the deities. We also have a devta or devi to protect the village which is known as gram devta. Our gram devi is gaura devi which is manifestation of ma shakti. And there is also bhairav which assists her. We also have a kul devta which protects the kul. My kuldevta is kalyaveer.

Here , we malayalis 🌾 have Thaiyam. 🌄 padayani etc.. But malayalam film industry didn't fully utilize this type of arts.. instead they follow western culture.. Alcohol, drugs.. Phsyco movie's ... Meaningless Song.. If they make a film on malayalam subject its for criticising kerala culture. 💯 Kerala has its own Identity . western ghat.. tropical rain forest.. Mother nature.. Spirituality .🌱.folk song..1000 of local Festival...🌾 arts..🌴 Malayalam film industry didn't explore it.. They try to explore Hollywood , korean movies.. And they are busy to make movies on, How to murder ??? Investigation.. Kill , Fight, Money 🙆 Now, kannada film industry Made a masterpiece...

I’m a Maharashtrian but I was so mesmerised by this that I almost had tears in my eyes during that final sequence. The goosebumps during the climax were real. What a film. 🙏🏻❤️

@@intellectMind2024 No it is not copied. Some instruments used are same, the patches used for guitar are somewhat similar sounding, that's where the similarities end. I cannot comprehend Malayalam so I cannot comment on the words and their meaning, however, if I think about the story accompanying the music, even that is not the same. They are two different worlds.

I am a Marathi , who is married to a Kannadiga from kundapura , believe me when I say Hindu culture is same everywhere . In Maharashtra , we also have a Guliga in the form of kalabhairava and panjurli in the form of wagh/lion spirit. There was nothing in my husband;s family that didn’t have an equivalent in mine . Proud Hindu/sanatani here 🙏

No one can change the deep rooted dna.. And convert to Another belief.. We only worship local tree🌾 instead of foreign Political religion..

@@chandlerminh6230 a simple góóglé séàrch helped me to find the reason why panadavas burnt. Sséàrch- "Pandavas burn kandava forest". If you look at scriptures with negative attitude, its difficult to evolve spiritually. Be it any religious scripture. 🙏

Went to see this movie in the theater here in Folsom, California. Glad it had English subtitles since I don’t understand the dialect. Am originally from Fiji but now staying in US. This movie gave me goosebumps. Certainly got teary in the last scene. I have not been watching any Bollywood bull crap movies anymore now. I would recommend everyone to watch this movie.

You might be following any religion, any culture, or faith in anything, but please watch this movie to feel its theatrics and I can vouch that you will definitely feel the magic of spirituality around you! Kudos to everybody involved in making this movie - beginning with the script, to story-boarding, to screenwriting, screen-playing, and the ecstatically spiritual music! Its been a long since I watched this movie, but I cannot get the music out of my head!
