If most you want to why is it like this.. Mostly the Forest Gods are to be pleased annually or once in 3 years or 5 or 7 so they are entertained through Nruthyam and also there are some Gods who are kinda playful so they entertain the crowd with these acts while ensuring that there is positivity spread in that area.. These acts are being performed since ages and making those places powerful because of the Living Being's Trust in them..
