These peaked my interest too. They look great and the specs are impressive.

This review is great! My only question would be, is this a good setup for general computer audio, (music primarily, movies, etc.) or is there a better alternative? I'm really confused with so many options. I've had Klipsch 2.1 for 10 years and I drastically need an upgrade.
@AudioAdvice2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. These are very good for near field computer audio listening, very natural. They are even better on these stands www.audioadvice.com/isoacoustics-iso130 www.audioadvice.com/kanto-tuk-premium-powered-speakers

@@AudioAdvice Thank you for the quick reply. This will hopefully be my last question before I make a decision. I asked on another video last night about the Klipsch R-41PM Powered Bookshelf Speaker. Is that also a near-field speaker, and would that be better than these for general audio from any distance, not just near-field? I'm really looking for a good solve that sounds great at distance and close up and is an upgrade on my Klipsch 2.1 setup.

@@eeldsgn If you like Klipsch sound, these would be more similar to the TUK, which would both be better than the 41 www.audioadvice.com/klipsch-the-fives-powered-speakers-pair And these are on a pretty good sale right now

I would love to know how they work with Tidal or Qobuz and Audirvana. I’m looking for a affordable high fidelity solution ;-)

You could use those services with the TUK two ways. Run a USB cable from your computer into the TUK and just use the apps for the services. Or you could use something like a Chord Mojo in between for even better sound. www.audioadvice.com/chord-mojo

I want to buy a Kanto TUK speaker, but what turns me off is that I have a Streamer, which would go to the RCA input; but I also have a Turntable with an external Phono Amp (that I'd like to keep) and therefore I'd need another pair or RCA input or an AUX input like the YU4s... but TUK removed that option, and I don't want to use the internal phono :( Is there a way to switch that Phono to Line signal? Thanks!
@AudioAdvice5 ай бұрын
Yes, there are very few powered speakers with 2 aux inputs. It has a pretty decent DAC, we do not know what you have, but if your streamer has toslink or USB out, you could try that way
@anthonyk10205 ай бұрын
@@AudioAdvice I meant more like 2 RCA inputs, or 1 RCA + 1 aux like the YU4 have. Shame that TUK didn't add an aux. I have an iFi Phono Pre-Amp and it sounds very good. And i have the Eversolo DMP-A6 streamer, it does has optical out but I think its DAC is much more powerful than TUKs?? Thanks for the prompt reply!
@AudioAdvice5 ай бұрын
@@anthonyk1020 Yes, we understood that part. The internal DAC is not as good as your Eversolo, that's a really good one. It sounds like you have nice gear, you might consider an even higher end pair like the JBL 4305P, they are more $$$ but sound even better. They have a balanced audio in and a mini plug AUX in. www.audioadvice.com/jbl-4305p-powered-bookshelf-speakers-pair

The Vanatoo Transparent One Encore allows you to flip the soundstage, has a DAC/crossover for the sub output, and pretty much every feature of this one at a $200 less price point. You guys should review that and see how it sounds (it's been out far longer than the Kanto).

The Kanto's are the better sounding speaker bar none. Dedicated phono stage and dedicated RCA outs aslo has a high-pass and low-pass filter for the sub channel.
