UPDATE: This property got slapped with a $1 million contractors lien. It’s gonna be impossible to sell this until he removes that lien. (Jan 2024)

Maybe, maybe not. Liens have to be perfected to go into force and we don't know if that guy did that. However, there's a low probability that he did because he doesn't have a contractors license and is claiming he was a project manager. Project managers get a wage and it's nowhere near a million dollars every six months. The only way he could be owed that much is if he was illegally acting as a contractor and paying for the labor, materials, insurance ,etc and had a contract stating the total cost and scope of work but just saying he was a project manager to skirt the law. If he was, he has no legal right to file a lien or sue for nonpayment because illegal contracts cannot be enforced in courts. I think the guy is shady and completely full of shit. I think it's just using the courts to harass and delay the sale of kanye's home.

@@lauragallagher8659 A property can ONLY change hands if it has a free and clear title. So the lien has to be paid off first before the sale can go through. Who is going to pay off a $1 million lien on a property they don’t own yet?

At least it's a 'blank' canvas for a vision of what it could be. but good lord that lot is small. vacation property for me to just sit and knit. I just don't want to hear my neighbor fart in the morning while they're making coffee.

That is such a good point about the Tadao minimalist style fitting in much better in nature, especially a somewhat wild and wooded area, rather than as a beachfront house sandwiched in between other properties. It sort of reminds me of how breathtaking Frank Lloyd Wright's 'Falling Water' was straddling a waterfall tucked away in lush forests (saw it in person and it's still stunning, even if an upkeep nightmare lol). It wasn't exactly minimalist, but I'd say sort of a precursor to minimalism in a way, and it really needed nature to complement it and set the contrast.

Ever since kanye has openly spoken out about the J's (the hollywood elite that he pledged servitude to in exchange for wealth and fame), they have been determined to destroy him. He's lost his marriage, his kids, his reputation, his major contracts, he's been forcibly committed by his jewish "personal trainer" (what kind of personal trainer can have someone committed?) and now they are destroying his properties to prevent him from selling them.

Arvin for the win! The first video of 2024, he finally tells us what it was worth when first purchased, and what it should go for now. Lol. Good thing Kanye's not crazy, otherwise he would have effed this whole thing up. Someone is going to have to buy this one as a teardown. That narrow lot is wasted by the wide staircase. The rest of the home is ridiculously narrow. It's going to be in the teens for lot value.

Love Ando's work and think your estimate is probably about right. A minimum of $8mm to bring it to its original splendor (plus another $2mm in architect's fees) and, if you are an architecture aficionado, you will have something that you are proud to own (and happy that you got at market price).

If Kanye spent the money to get the house back to what it was it may sell for 25 to 30 million. As is, it may sell for 15 million. It's basically a beach front lot and no longer a house. I would take legal action if I owned one of the houses next to it. I would not be happy.

i like kanye very much course of hos geopolitical and historical views 😊 but this whole stuff comes from ricardo bofile "la fabrica" 😅 its totally genious for 70s. beter than loft ideas of andy worhole 😅 but im a builder and architector and cost of building this is 150 000 € in some kind of eastern EU😊 but i like this costline from la to sf. i was traveling there about 13 years ago - very nice place there. sequoia forests, beach - great. maybe now place only cost a lot
