I liked Hurricane from the listening parties, but I thought maybe I could blend the original beat and beat switch with this one. I don’t think Kanye’s OG verse would fit well on this version of Hurricane. Besides, Ant Clemons’ hook interrupts Ye’s verse at the end. And since I don’t have the stems, I don’t think that would blend well.
Obviously, I don’t own this track, this was just created for entertaining purposes and all rights go to Kanye West.

I think that was the point of Donda. Donda was more cold and desolate while Yandhi felt warmer and homegrown if you get what Im saying.

Each version fits its parent album better; Yandhi version way more psychedelic, while Donda’s is darker, more minimal. I prefer Weeknd’s vocals way more than Ant’s though

The Weeknd fits so well here, his voice just fits the upbeat and sunny vibe of 80 degrees as well as it does as the dull and dark atmosphere Hurricane gave on Donda

That’s the big problem with Kanye leaks. The first 2 or 3 versions of the song that don’t make the final cut always sound amazing. That’s why we set the bar so high for whenever it IS going to be released

My favorite part about this mix is allowing the backup chorus on "don't let me drown" actually fade away rather than abruptly stopping. That always bothered me about the final mix.

I think the instrumental on the album version fits the hook better, but this instrumental fits the verses better. It´d probably be weird if it switched between instrumentals for the hooks/verses though, so overall I think i´d rather just keep it like it is on the album

So it should have been Abel, Kanye "I chose not to be a slave" verse (when finished), Ant Clemons on the Chorus but shorter (and stronger), Kanyes released verse on 2nd, then Abel's post lil baby pre to full chorus. End. Idk, but lil baby feels so out of place in this song.
