During a new episode of the 'Alo Mind Full' podcast that aired Friday, the outspoken rapper told Alo’s Danny Harris and Alyson Wilson that he’s never read any literature, and prefers speaking instead.
'I actually haven’t read any book,' West said. 'Reading is like eating Brussels sprouts for me. And talking is like getting the Giorgio Baldi corn ravioli.'"

Even at Kanye’s best, he wasn’t a musical genius. All he did was sample tracks from the 80s like any other producer. He did it well, but he let it get to his head. Then that head exploded in public and he thinks he’s some misunderstood genius because geniuses are misunderstood. He’s not misunderstood. He misunderstands beings misunderstood by being STUPID.

@@eustass4491 if he was an actual 100% REAL musical genius, he wouldnt take parts of pre-existing songs and work them into his own songs. a full on TRUE genius comes up with everything original. the work is basically 50% done for him before he even does anything. ppl in his field dont mean jack, because they all do what he does as well.

The ripsaws tracks were actually designed by one of the employees of the company and not the two brothers who own the business. Unless you actually read you will never know what is the truth and you will never be able to learn how things work. I have severe dyslexia and I have trouble reading but I have already read everything that I could find on psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience and quantum mechanics just so I could understand why I suffer from social anxiety and depression. If he has never read a book then how can he know anything about religion or teaching?

As a child, I struggled with reading, I would do everything to avoid reading. But I was lucky to have a teaching assistant who encouraged me to read, I had special reading sessions in school, those sessions helped me become comfortable with reading, it was still a struggle for many years afterwards, but it was a struggle I was determined to accomplish, and as someone with a degree and a bookcase overflowing with books, I think I've benefitted from overcoming that struggle.

One night I watched a stream where a PhD Biologist tried explaining the basics of evolution to a couple of hard heads who called her a fake and a fraud the whole time. Then they went to their own hangout where a legitimately troubled person showed up and talked absolute insanity, but they agreed with him on religion so they agreed here, too. It dawned on me that these two people simply could not tell the difference between a trained professional and a man who claims he invented science in the mid 2010s. I've come to the conclusion that this manifestation of Dunning-Kruger is disturbingly common.

No longer a fan of Kanye in anyway but way back in the day (pre College Dropout album) , I recall a story where he was approached by another emcee (I can't recall exactly who it was) to support a reading program for kids and he responded that "I don't read". At least he is consistent. Needless to say this dude should not be aspiring to start an academy with that mentality.

Kanye's genius is highlighting that we have to look into this 'fame' phenomenon. He constantly affirms that celebrity does not equate intelligence. Celebrities can be very intelligent, can be genius level : not Kanye. Kanye presumes talent equates genius. Kanye's school has to end up as a sitcom one day. Reading changed my life. Kanye's team will surely have people who read. Keep it up Kanye, as you are beautifully destroying the cult of celebrity.

Kanye is a musical and design genius, but he's also suffering from bipolar disorder and a serious narcissistic personality disorder. He's the primary example of why we shouldn't idolize everyone who is either rich or famous, because even if they have great music or clothing, they might not be the best people to listen to when it comes to public policy or political issues

If I never hear from Kanye West again I would be fine with that. His mind is so lost. I wish he would get help being able to recognize reality. Therapy is not a bad thing, I have a therapist. This man needs help, and I don’t know if there’s anybody in his life that cares about him or has enough balls to try to do the right thing. Even though I never wanna hear from him again, I do have sympathy. He’s privileged rich, and rarely hears the word no.

At the risk of offending many in the US, I find the reverence for celebrities and their opinions a little weird. During the Covid pandemic, I noticed celebrities were asked their opinions about medication, masks, immunisation etc. In Australia we tended to follow advice from scientists, doctors etc. At one time Joe Rogan seemed to be the go to for answers re: Covid. The joke going around here when discussing Covid issues was ‘better ask Joe Rogan’

This enrages me on a very personal level. My heart breaks for those kids. As a child who was forced to go to a private Christian school with a poor education. I was deprived of a science education. There’s no critical reasoning skills. When I’d ask questions, they were met with manipulative comments meant to quiet me. Christian education is not education. Period.

People that send their kids to these schools only do so for connections with the parents of other students. These are rich kids that will never actually need an education because they will always have everything given to them.
