Goddamn, I'm so jealous, you play this piece as if it was super simple. I struggle so much to play this one ! It's incredibly difficult. Great job. The transition to the synthetic keyboard sound during the solo is a super good idea too. Jazzy

Thank you for listening! I enjoyed playing the bass part! I like the sound of this fender rose like electric piano!

Great playing, I love the way you accentuate the rhythms; the syncopated nature of Kapustin's etudes always stood out to me. Also I'm super envious of your keyboard set up.

Thank you very much! I also like these two keyboards, Yamaha Motif and Nord Electro 3, a little old, but a friend gave them to me!

Wow, you have a great friend haha. I'm saving up for a Nord myself. Awesome stuff, brother.@@afterschoolreharmonization6405

I’ve been listening to a lot of Kapustin lately and YT recommended me this video … this is amazing! And that section with the Rhodes taking the melody was unexpectedly stunning. Subbed!

Thanks for listening! I experimented with the Fender Rhodes sound and I loved it! I don't know if Nikolai Kapustin himself would like it, lol!

I always thought that this piece needed such a jazzy accompaniment. Perfect!!!
@afterschoolreharmonization640510 ай бұрын
I thought so too! I tried to play a walking 4th note feel on the bass in the middle section, and I think it fits well.

this is the absolute best kapustin performance on youtube. I was dying to hear it played on something other than the piano, so 1:17 is a treat.

Such smooth playing. I really like your interpretation. Did you make the drums and bass too??? Kapustin would be proud
@afterschoolreharmonization6405 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! I'm not that familiar with DTM, but I used the drum patterns in the Yamaha MOTIF keyboard piano. I also played the bass guitar myself with the MOTIF to match the drums and piano. It was a lot of fun! I hope Kapustin likes it, lol!

Was this inspired by Frank Dupree's trio take on the piece? 😮 Always great to see the improvement as well as the diversification of your 'library'

The mix is mostly bass and drums with a distorted piano. Then at 1:18 in the new view the Rhodes piano is clearer. Any chance you can remix the audio? I would love to hear the piano part clearer.

The visuals at 1:20 do not match the music. Your hands are playing a different part of the piece there.
@afterschoolreharmonization6405Ай бұрын
I noticed that too. I didn't understand how to edit properly at the time, and I was terrible at it, so the image and sound are out of sync. If I edit it now, I can make it more synchronized.
