A major reason KARA songs are so timeless, is their flawless harmony. Each member has a unique voice, but together is eargasm. I can't find that in other groups.

They were the rival of SNSD and T-ara at that time and they're the only one girl group who can compare in albums sales to SNSD. And they're the first girl group who held the concert in Tokyo dome . How big KARA at that time ! Thank for your reaction.

See this is what I love about 2nd gen. They weren't reliant on flashy MV's, insane choreography or trying to smash multiple songs into 3 minutes. You wanna be a KPOP artist? Here's the foundation. Catchy beat. Addictive hook. Equally addictive dance(that even your grandparents can do) and vocals that rival most of the best pop artists ever! KARA embodies all that and then there is their energy. There are very few artists, KPOP or otherwise. Who can simply energize a crowd like KARA can.(I'm talkin' any iteration of KARA! The 1st iteration wasn't a success, but the energy was there and it has only grown since!)

just imagine.. they debuted as the revised ot5 back in 2008 with rock u, (adding hara and jiyoung). and jiyoung was just 15 years old back then, at the time one the youngest members of any girl group. then they reformed as OT4 with youngji, after jiyoung and nicole left. to think about what they've gone through as a group, personally and professionally, and how they've grown as artists, as musicians, some going on to solo careers, some going on to acting, and then after all these years, coming back for this special 15th anniversary, we are truly blessed to have this moment. kara forever

As a fan since the Honey song, I think they created a signature in their music. Powerful concepts with Upbeat melodies! Especially after the title song Wanna til now. Wanna/Mr, Lupin, Jumping, Damaged Lady, Step, Pandora, Mamma Mia, Cupid and When I Move When I heard "When I Move" and read the fans' discussion, I'm so proud that most of the feedback I've seen is THIS SONG IS SO KARA! the dancers of the group's vocal just improve so much compare to when they just started, they really grown and mature into their own sound, so happy that people still remember their music and what a power house they were during that era. They were the first gg of the 2nd gen to became super popular in Japan, that was a real thing for a period that they could have just stay in the Japanese market and make bank. I am so glad they will be on Japanese Christmas Music Festival this year. Give those long time Japanese fans a chance to see them again.

I'll recommend you some songs if you want to check them out, lol. If you like cute songs, most of their bsides have that concept. They tend to have fierce and powerful title songs (like Mamma mia, Pandora, Damaged Lady, Jumping and Lupin) But their bsides are more playful and cute. Some of my favorite bsides from them are: Umbrella Way Wanna (this one actually has an MV) and their whole 4th album 'Full bloom'. They are amazing pulling that "animeish" nostalgic style in their songs which is why they are so popular in Japan. I also recommend you their album 'Solo collection'. In this album each member has a solo song with different concepts and genres (goth rock, tango, RnB, bubblegum pop and rock pop), actually all of the 5 songs have an MV, you should check them out. (I also recommend you solo songs from the members after leaving the group: Nicole's 'Mama' is a masterpiece, and Hara's 'Midnight queen' is a chef kiss). And they also have very good japanese songs, my personal favorites are 'Speed up' (Sexy concept) and Winter magic (Christmas song, it's beautiful).

Your Korean pronunciation is very similar to Korean Americans like Nicole. Wonderful! It's very hard to say Korean words while speaking English because there is no distinct accent in Korean. So, some people make them as English words, i.e., giving some accent to Korean words. Others, like you, just stop the flow and say them without accents, then return to normal flows of English. I'm wondering from where or whom you learned Korean so well. Very impressive!
